Don't know if its a good sign or just some companies trying to make a quick buck. Neither commercial is "good" as a way of explaining what e-cigs are. Nothing more than, "you can smoke anywhere you want".

Both seem like rip-off scams too. The $150.00 single auto-battery with specialized cartos that will not fit anything else and you have to sign up for their monthly contract of shipments.

The more I think about it...its not a good thing at all. Its worse than the mall rip-offs.

I saw that commercial here in Boston as well.
They seem to have spent quite a bit of money on making it look very slick
and touting all the misinformation that most of us are against.
I wish "NVC" or CASAA could also make a commercial as a PSA giving all the pertinent information so people would know a bit more and know that this product is a useful tool in combating smoking.
Plus they would find out that the FDA is not looking out for them only "Big Pharma's" pockets.

I have a slightly different spin on these commercials:

Are their products rip-offs? Yep it seems they are.
Are the commercials accurate & informative? I don't think so.
Many people first hear of e-cigs through those commercials, I know I did,
But I then began doing research, found the ECF forum and made wise choices and then some more wise choices and then.....well you can see the pattern here.

So although I do not like the commercials, I do believe the companies behind them are opening peoples eyes to e-cigs. Hopefully people will choose to do some research prior to purchasing or if they do purchase the commercials products they will become interested enough to investigate more. JMHO

Cigarbabe, I like that Idea. I wonder, is there anyone who has any idea of what that would cost...is it something we (CASAA) could swing and would anyone be willing to do it?
