Hi guys, I did read a post here, well now it's locked, what that guy said about vaping causing swollen lymph nodes is true, Well it doesn't happen with the good vaping brands, but if you try to make your own liquids or go to a shop that make their own liquids, because my lymph nodes started to swell right after vaping the own made liquids, I bought 2 of them, 1 was 100% vg and another was 50/50. The 50/50 had the most effect on the nodes, and now I'm taking a break from vaping.

It might be something only I am allergic to, but some other people might be too, and if you think you are afraid of this happening to you, go for 100% vg or a good brand like the 12 monkeys.

Hi and welcome,
Have you seen a doctor ?

Many folks are sensitive to the flavor concentrates, additives and/or sweeteners used in e liquids. Additionally, poor quality nicotine base may also be contributing to your malaise.

Perhaps switch to unflavored nicotine e liquid sourced from a trusted vendor.

I've seen two instances where somebody had an allergic reaction to a flavor. Wasn't lymph nodes, but their lips swelled up.

Ouch, not fun at all. I find that Fantasi Apple makes my lips have a minty burning sensation but a full on reaction, that's just bad times.

By the way is it normal to have that itch in your throat while vaping? And I think I am very sensitive to PG. Plus the reason I say why DIY shops is bad, because you may never know what they put in your e-juice.

Firstly, off to the Doctor. Swollen lymph nodes can be a sign of something serious so don't assume it's vaping.

I get an itch in my throat whilst vaping if I'm ill because of phlegm etc. Firstly, try vaping unflavoured, 100% VG. Then try adding some PG. Then add some flavour. That should troubleshoot your sensitivity. Finally, if a DIY shop is making dodgy juice then they would get crucified by their own customers.

But yeah, sounds like you've been strung a line to buy premium.

If you are PG sensitive it isn't the juice or the juice makers fault. Just use VG. And why would you just say DIY shops? What is the difference between them and what you would consider a premium flavor ejuice maker? You can get good and bad service anywhere you look for all products on the market, not just juice. Someone/anyone that is in business is there to earn a profit/living. It would not benefit them at all to put 'something unwanted' in a customers juice. You aren't thinking this through correctly.

Go to the doctor.

THERE IS NO EJUICE THAT ISN'T MIXED BY SOMEONE. It's not like eliquid grows organically on trees.

Also, I'd suggest that you MAY be PG sensitive (I was, although my sx were slightly different maybe a bit similar). It's possible this "great" juice you have is working, not because it's expensive and/or premium, it may just be the PG/VG ratio you happened upon that sort of "helped" whatever you are sensitive to (it could be PG or VG although it sounds like VG. Also, since you can't DIY successfully (were you have control over ALL your ingredients) I'm surprised you are calling out "juice makers" in general when you can't even get a successful mi for yourself.

Go to the doctor, rule out illness and then come back, and try some different mixes (like VG with nic, unflavored) to see if whatever symptoms you have (whether they're just treated by the doc, or you really do have a PG allergy, I'm not a doctor, so go get checked out. Vaping will be here on your return.

I suspect a PG or certain flavor sensitivity and etc. but I am not a doctor.

Really, IMO, everyone who vapes should get checked out, after a period of time, a) to make sure any and all consequences of detox have gone, and there is no other medical issue-- sometimes meds need adjusting, etc., and b) to make sure, by checking lungs and etc., that vaping is actually doing what it should, reducing vaping harm.

I'm lucky, I had a vaping doc and he was very helpful every time I saw him, he was a great resource (for me) in figuring out I had a PG sensitivity.

Best of luck,

Anna
