Ok I’m sorry if this is in the wrong thread or forum, I’m new and I have no idea if I’m posting this in the right place.

Anyway, so I’ve been vaping Mr. Salt E mint 25mg salt nic juice from my suorin drop for the past couple of months. However, I started to get this swollen lymph node on my neck that lasted for a while. I went through this whole process with doctors and specialists and it turned that I had Kikuchi disease (totally harmless I think).

So, now I’ve been vaping very rarely just as a caution because I’m still unsure if vaping caused the swollen lymph node. So I was wondering what y’all think.

Maybe it’s the flavor, the pg, honestly idk. But if it is the pg, ik there is max vg juice but that will mess up my drop. So, if you think the pg is the problem, do you recommend any just as portable and relatively cheap setups that can handle max vg?

Thanks so much :)

Kikuchi disease - Wikipedia

From what I’m reading of this, it’s a stupendously rare disorder where for some unknown reason, your autoimmune system decides to go nuts. No one knows what causes it. It could be anything.

It sounds to me like PG is as likely or unlikely as literally anything else. It could just as likely have been the hair of some rare breed of dog you walked by one day.
VG does not “mess up” RDAs. You could do all sorts of experiments trying to figure out if some outside factor will reliably cause it, but from what I can tell you’re not likely to have any real success as no one else has either.

Welcome to the forum. Let's review:
You've been successfully using your current setup and juice for past couple of months without issue.
You developed a swollen lymph node, which doctors diagnosed as kikuchi, a relatively benign condition.
I'm not a doctor, but if the benign lymph node condition is not related to vaping, as I'm certain you disclosed to be using to your doctor, then why be concerned?
Your pod system can certainly handle higher vg. What is the current vg/pg ratio in your current juice?

Did you tell them you were a vaper? What did they say?

So I was wondering what y’all think.

Honestly, it doesn't matter what we think, because this a a vaping forum. We have no idea if PG, or VG, or anything else in your ejuice could have made you sick. Besides, practicing medicine without a licence is a felony (or maybe a misdemeanor ;)). We could only speculate, and that won't help you. My suggestion is to talk with your doctors.

Good luck!

This is just one of life's unanswerable questions. I'm assuming you told the doctors you vape? If you didn't return to them and do so. Although I have to say their answers are probably going to be the same as mine, a big fat question mark.

I guess you could experiment with variables and whatnot if it's a "benign condition." I would start with a small, nicotine free bottle of 100% Vg and see how that went.

But honesty, if this condition can go into spontaneous remission or something well, IDK.

This happens to every person who vapes but never smoked. OMG, you should really stop vaping before it gets worse. Ive even heard of feathers growing from folks ears and nose from this condition. Benign my hind end. Hahaha just joking. Follow your doc's advise. And welcome to ecf :D
You forgot the fluffy fluffy tail. Some consider that an advantage though.
