Happy Birthday. If you can afford more, buy it. If you're on a budget, try and stay strong. It's only June and I really believe there will be a Christmas/holiday rush of new gear. I'm trying to hold out but I'm weak. In two years, I have spent $700 on gear. Maybe a little more. This includes gear for the wife. I'll be sitting to your right at the next Shinyitis Anonymous meeting.
