Same here. It ain't Tea.

I don't steep my wine and I don't steep my vape juice.
I agree, but at this point, I would be happy if vapers would just stopping using the terms "smoke" or "smoking" when they are talking about vapor/vaping. When we are trying to get John Q. Public to understand that vaping is not the same as smoking, it certainly doesn't help when we have vapers themselves referring to it as smoke/smoking.

I agree. It doesn't really matter too much to me what people choose to call "steeping". People could even make up their own word for it, and that wouldn't bother me at all.

But calling Vaping for Smoking is just plain wrong on all levels and can not and will not be tolerated.

I actually have a friend who is a non vaper and non smoker who keeps referring to my vaping as smoking, and I immediately and quickly correct that person each and every time that they do it. Maybe they'll eventually get things right one day, because I will keep correcting them until they do.

But vapers themselves calling it smoking? Now that is just inexcusable.

They might as well be ANTZ.

Yep, while I know "steeping" is wrong the term seems to have stuck at this point, and it seems wrong in a pretty harmless way. Using "smoking" for vaping strikes me as less harmless. Tbh, with no disrespect for the name of this illustrious forum intended, I don't like the term "electronic cigarette" very much either. I think "vaporizer" is at least better (though a bit too generic.) I'm not in love with the term "vaping," but it too seems to have stuck, and my objections are mainly on aesthetic grounds, so not that important ;).

Good points, I diy some juices for pennies per ml. But I also diy some expensive NET concentrates extract using premium NN Signature nic salts and it comes out to over $12 for 30 ml. Now that my friend you don't want to vape lots at 6mg :D

You're making me kind of glad I never got into NETs... I likely would have if they hadn't been pretty obscure when I started vaping, but by the time they were less so I had gotten into the habit of vaping non-tobacco flavors in general.

I'm sure DIY could be _really_ inexpensive, especially if you only wanted to make a few related recipes, but I've spent enough on flavors, many of which I won't entirely use up before they go off, that it's a bit pricier than it looks on paper, for me.

And I'm starting to experiment with the MF flavors, because I've had them in some premium juice that I really liked in the past. I picked up a lot of the 5 mil sizes at ecigexpress not very long ago, but they were already out of a few that were the ones I most wanted, and those are not exactly cheap to acquire (though I suspect they will make a lot of juice, as they're pretty concentrated.)

Still a lot cheaper than $12.00/30 milliliters though, and since most of the expense is in initial outlays it's not much of a disincentive to going through a fair amount of juice.

Well yes, I vape cheap DIY juice for cheap, and the best nicotine salts Nets for less than $15 a month at a little over 1ml a day, cheap wine or the finest, it's a matter of taste. :)
I might get into making NETs myself when i don't have a day job.

Actually steeping is proper. You let the flavors blend with the base liquid much the same as you let the tea blend with the hot water.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

maybe we should change it to MPV and NOPV ( Mouth Pause Vaping and No Oral Paused Vaping) ;)

Im still trying to get people to stop using the word "steeping" when "aging" is the correct term :)

Like Juice is what I drink and do not Vape, I vape e-Liquids that I infuse by aging. I gave up smoking years ago and hate to hear it associated with Vaping.

So there ... pft-pft
I looked up the definition of "steeping" and I think there's a case to be made for your claim.
"Your Honor, I request that the defendants testimony be entered into the record."
"So granted. Next witness?"

Funny I went the opposite way. Started mainly with clouds and now 3 years later I carry a von erl around and us that 95% of the time. Leave my boxes at home and only use them every few days for a few pulls. I got tired of burning through juice insanely fast and got interested in the pod systems. Now I burn through about 2ml to 3ml a day vs around 30ml. Kind of night I can pick up something expensive from the shop (depending 70/30 can work in the von erl but cant chain vape it) and it last me a while normally could not buy a expensive bottle at least from a vape shop cause i'd burn it in a day or two.

I think we should stick with juice instead of e-liquid. Fewer letters so it's easier to type.

I do wish there was a vaping standard for the word coil. I've seen coil used for a factory bought thing ready to pop into the tank, an atomizer (isn't that the whole thing?), and the wire itself. Can the community please reach a consensus on that?

Ahaha and let's add "coil head", "drop-in coil" (mine screw in), pre-wound coil", "pre-made coil" (as opposed to a non-pre-made coil? How is it a coil if it's not already wound? Wouldn't that be "wire"?) to the list :D

Mod.....Really? MOD???? Do these noobs know what a Mod really is?!?! Back in the day, we had to walk 6 miles to the juice store...Uphill both ways! We were using old toasters and space heaters retrofitted with a block of aquarium foam to vape on! The nerve.....Calling your Alien a MOD???? These kids today.....

None of this is to be taken seriously....Just a joke. Somehow, I feel it's important to point this out. :?:
