I have vaped a fair amount, but never able to achieve what I wanted in vaping

I have vaped for almost 2 years now. I have tried using different batteries. Set voltage and variable voltage. Clearomizers, top & bottom coil. Different e-liquids. Different flavors and medium to no nicotine.

What I am looking for in a e-cigarette Is nice flavor and lots of smoke. And no e-liquid leaks!

All the clearomizer I have used except the iSmoka mini BCC leaked fluid from the bottom all the time and required cleaning with tissue and q-tip constantly.

I have never been able to get the flavor to be anything more than subtle, and if I chain vape, I get a burnt taste.

I do like the thinner batteries, as they feel more like a cigarette. I don’t mind charging every day, or filling my take often.

Any suggestions? Bright flavor (I usually do strawberry, or strawberry melon), lots of smoke. No burnt taste. No leaking!

Any suggestions would be helpful

The issue with small tanks that you using, is they have very small coils that heat the juice, thus you get very little vapor and taste. So you not going to achieve what you want with small e-cigs.

The best thing to do is step it up on the hardware, get eLeaf iStick with Nautilus mini tank, then use BVC coils. Most new Nautilus Minis should already come with BVC coils, if they dont, then just buy a pack of BVC coils.

Hello and welcome to the forum Starlawolf. Glad to have you here!:)

There is a learning curve to all devises. That said, here are some products I use everyday even though I have more advanced hardware as well. No leaking, no burnt taste, plenty of power for how I use them.

Battery - MVP v2 or eLeaf iStick
Tank - mini or regular Nautilus w/BVC's (bottom vertical coils)

I use my Kanger Aerotanks on my MVP's and my Nautiluss on my iSticks. The Aerotanks don't do as well on the iStick (see below).

Note on iStick: There are a few problems with regard to it's circuitry (it measures mean not RMS). It is not capable of down regulating power (it is widely inaccurate, especially at lower voltages). As long as you're aware of it and don't need a battery that can output voltages between 3v and 4.2 volts, you may like it. It does go up to 20 watts (but only using a 1.1 ohm coil).

Personally, I love my Nautilus on the iStick. Innokin (who makes the MVP) is due to come out with a MVP v3 soon. I think it is going to be a 20watt battery.

I've been a Provari owner for about 2 1/2 years, but was looking for a smaller mod to carry out and about. The iStick turned out to be that mod. It does vape warmer than you expect for an RMS device, but as Susan said, it's output is based on MEAN calculations and not RMS. That, and it has a boost converter, but no buck converter, so it can't produce voltages less than the current battery voltage. It can boost voltage until the battery reaches cutoff voltage. It's 20W rating is based on the atomizer resistance, so you may not be able to exceed 15W on certain coils.

It's still a fine compact mod and I have enjoyed mine thoroughly.

This does make a big difference when considering a purchase the Nautilus isn't cheap and the coils are more expensive than the Kangers. If you decide to make your own coils you need an Ohm meter and some knowledge on how to build your own coils. I for one have been happy with my iTaste MVP 2.0 with the Kanger Aerotank. I usually burn it at 8w with no problem. It will leak when the liquid runs low or you are constantly playing with the battery.

Yup. Like many said just get the nautilus mini. Make sure you use like a bb twist or better with it. I vape 12mg flavorless an at first, before the coil breaks in it tastes a bit odd but now I'm getting clouds of flavorless vape. No matter how good the fluid tastes, and no matter how expensive, I get very sick of any flavor additive in like a day.

The tanks without some form of air control base do tend to leave a dewdrop of fluid on the battery connector, that's a fact. Tanks with air control (Nautilus, Kanger Aero etc) draw air from the sides, so there's no channel for fluid to reach the battery. Regarding your general lack of satisfaction from vaping, I caution you not to expect heaven in your grasp, or at least not before you die. While vaping with good kit and fluid can be enjoyable and also give your sinful body the nicotine it craves, it may never provide the gratification you want. But it's always a smarter idea than smoking, which is the main thing for many of us.

Howdy !!! Not knowing exactly what you're using puts me at a disadvantage but I'll take a shot at it. I use dual coil Kangers with adjustable air flow controls on them and they will gurgle a bit just before they get empty so I don't let them get quite that low. I use 3 different mods. The Kamry Bacchus 3800 mah, The MVP 2.0 2600 mah & the Istick 2200 mah. All 3 go a long time on a charge, 24 hrs +,all 3 are dependable, VV VW, ohm meters, pass thru, etc. I don't get quite the clouds as the RBA/RDA folks but get closer that one might think. I use Kanger 1 ohm dual coils in them which gives me tons of vape and saves on battery life. I hope this helps !!!

Nothing developed so far is perfect, but there are better solutions. Nautilus Mini is a good choice if you like small. A rebuildable would be equal or better in terms of vapor and maintenance cost. Kayfun Mini would suffice there. You pretty much have to go with an 18650 battery tube mod to get any kind of vape time from a charge. Thin batteries usually equal low vape current and frequent charging.

All have the potential to leak at some time or another, some more than others. Maintenance and handling are important. Seals have to be kept tight and you can't lay a tank on its side and expect it not to leak a little. Once you get juice in the air tube it's only a matter of time before it either comes out the drip tip or the battery connector threads.

As someone mentioned uptopic, an aftermarket air controller usually fixes the battery connector juice leak problem.

This is why I drip... and have a zillion bottles of juice... and make DIY juice... and am broke... You have a really good idea there.

My search for that "Something Missing" in my vape, led me down the path of the rba. Since then, have never looked back. Properly built, wicked and filled, a tanked rba system offers the best of the best vape possible, in my humble opinion.

But to get there, does take some learning, practice, failures, frustration, and then, if diligent, some great fantastic vape.

Plain and simple, anything with liquid can leak, given the right circumstances, but once one understands what makes vape possible, dry/burnt hits, leaks, and fiddly diddily takes a back seat.

Burnt taste is a wicking issue. One is over driving their current wicking potential, either learn the way or the wicking fiber, or turn it down.

Best thing to do, is search study, and find out what is vape possible, and what you are willing to do to get to that point. A cig-a-like devices, is not going to win any vape plume contests or great vape satisfaction awards. There are a few changeable coil head tanks, that can come close to what a rba can deliver, but it will always be lacking in vape potential, of what a well built rba and apv can supply.

I like to keep 3 tank systems running at all times. Currently, today like, am running the Gus Estia 510, on the Cloupor T8, the Russian on the T6, and have the Flash-e-Vapor V2 on the Sigelei 100. All three provide leak free low maintenance quite excellent vape at 60-75 watts. And must say, no longer is something missing in me vape. Got that Something Extra Special now.

Vape is progressive, the more one vapes, the more they learn, and the better the gear and vape becomes, or something like that.

Vape long and Prosper.!!!

Thanks everyone for all your help. I am purchasing the Authentic Nautilus Mini Bottom Vertical Coil (BVC) .
Now I have some questions about e-liquid.
I like EC Blend for my liquid. I trust the quality, and it is fresh made for you when you order.
Any suggestions on the blend? Is the 50/50 PG/VG the best option for the Nautilus BVC? Or is there a better blend?
I use either 0, 6, or 12 mg nicotine. For flavor I enjoy Strawberry, or a blend of Strawberry/Melon.

Any suggestions or comments?

Made fresh isn't always the best thing (juice isn't like fresh fruit, a lot improve with some steep time (like wine they can get nicer if you let them sit for a while) the only thing I've found with the nautilus is they can flood a little using high% of pg juice but at 50/50 I've not had any issues
