Hello,

I would like to first say thank you to everyone on this forum for the vast knowledge about vaping. Finding this forum has made the switch very easy and informative. So again, Thank You.

So let me tell you how I got into vaping. A co-worker came into work one day with a Blu, so naturally I asked about it, as she was my smoking buddy. She told me about it, and that night I ordered one. Needless to say, it never came. (Thank You forum) Instead I ordered a 510 from nhaler, as Drew is a local dealer, and I hate shipping times. So I got it the next day, (Thanks Drew) :thumb: and started vaping. The 510 lasted for about 2 weeks, and the killer for me was the battery life. Its just so short. I ordered the PCC, so that was good, but I was getting a tad frustrated with the fact that it would always die, right when you wanted it the most. So then it was time for a MOD. Based on the options out there I chose to go with a Bartleby. I mainly chose this based on the long battery life, the fact that I already had attys, and the fact that I am always near a USB connection if I need charging. Well let me tell you that this thing is killer compared to the stock 510. Jay makes an awesome product, and it is a little vaping machine. Thanks Jay. :thumb:

So during this time there was also some Juice tasting. I tried a bunch of sample sizes from Drew, and all were good. Then I read about Halo Juices, and order some of the NewPure, and Harley 56 in 18mg. That was the hot ticket. Such a clean vape. Halo's juice is fantastic. I just wish that they had more flavors. I also have some of the Freedom Juice on the way. In the meantime I ordered some empty bottles from Johnson Creek to carry it around in, and also ordered some Vermont Vapor Juice, as I wanted to try something in VG. (Still waiting for it to come in):(

So with all of this, I can certainly say that I am totally enjoying the vaping experience. I however have not yet been able to quit the analogs. I was a pack a day guy on Camel Wide menthols for 10 years, and I have drastically cut down to only 3-4 per day now. They are getting to the point that they are starting to taste rather nasty compared to the the clean cool taste of the Halo. Also when I haven't smoked for a while I can smell it on others, and it is rather disturbing to think that I smelled like that. The upshot is that I am getting to the point where I am preferring to vape vs. smoke, so I feel that there is light at the end of the tunnel. I started vaping about 3 weeks ago, and am totally ready to switch.

So again Thank You to everyone, for your vast knowledge on the subject of vaping, and also for helping me get the monkey off my back.

Thanks Again,

Cyphion

I'm on my 2nd full day without an analog and loving it! My best friend visited me yesterday, and while I love her, there's always that smoky smell... she's considering giving it a try, since I told her how easy it was for both me and my sweety to conform to vaping instead... of course I got my Halo yesterday and it's my closest experience to an analog so far, loving it! (oh wait, I said that already, *giggle*) It's a great ride, good luck!

Imo, you've done an excellent job! ;-) Isn't the Bartleby a great vape?!

You might like the Decadent Vapours ejuices from TW. The original 'very clean' ejuices from the nic base on. Habana Reserve is a favorite and their Mentholyptus and Menthol flavoring is also good, but try Absinthe - there is a bit of a menthol/mint note with the anise/licorice main part and 20 some herbs to make it interesting.

Wazzaaa, Cyphion! A new user shoots and scores! I'm with Kent, the Bartleby is just killer on so many levels. That you learned, jumped in, learned some more, and did some research for a good mod for you should set an example to other new users. Good on you! Wish I had jumped to the Bart earlier, but it sure is great now.

As for the analogs, give it a little time. They don't always vacate upon that first package delivery, and for many here there is still a need for a few real ones a day even after vaping a while. Be patient, PVs are not meant to make you quit, just a pleasurable alternative. Some do quit right away, some after some weeks, some not at all until they go for a smokeless tobacco. But from 1.5 packs a day to 3 or 4 analogs a day is quite a victory. A good first thing to do is up the nic level. If that doesn't work, give it a little time. Have a few real ones. You are already ahead of the game, and are doing very well. Time will tell, and there are other options.

Enjoy the Bart! Jay makes a tight product. Its certainly my favorite PV currently. Vape on!

Kent C,

The Bartleby is absolutely fantastic. It is so much of a better vape than the stock 510. It really is what the 510 should have been. The fact that it has the USB connector on it is like icing on the cake. Based on your recommendation I will definitely check out those flavors.

I am really into the tobacco flavors, as I did the RYO bit for about 4 years, and only smoked very high quality tobacco, simply because I could taste all of the complexities. Those were different times, and I would probably have gone back to the RYO bit, but the taxes on loose tobacco are crazy after the federal tax hike.

Upshot is that my order of Freedom Juice came in today, and I cant wait to try it. I had to order on the last day of the coupon code. I hope that they come out with another one.

I will also probably order another Bartleby, just as a spare. Jay does some really nice work.

Thanks Again,

John

Actually the 510 is still the best in that cig style but yeah, there's a difference that you won't really see until you get something that puts out that 3.7 peak v, for hours on end. No skinny batt will do that.

I was an MYO/RYOer as well - D&R Rowland, plus McClintock Light and Menthol ;-) Vera Cruz tubes. I went through 30 - 40 samplers to find the right blend. And made a big purchase before the SCHIPPS tax. :)

A friend sent some samples and that's pretty clean juice, imo, but I'm stuck on the flavors of the DV stuff which is just as clean or cleaner perhaps and I hope that TW starts selling his VG based ejuices. VG and the Bart is a vapor bomb.

I will also probably order another Bartleby, just as a spare. Jay does some really nice work.

He really does. I've got a few myself ;-)

Thanks Again,

Certainly!
