IF your passthru flashes after a 3-5 sec drag and shuts off, its the auto Cut Off mechanism at work here. I believe your PT is not defective. The way u can go around it is to pulse it. Push and release on the 3rd sec and Push again. The manufacturers are just trying to help you prolong ur atty. haha. Futile attempt tho..
