In just a few days I will be hitting my 2 month smoke free date....and I have yet to loose a coil...I do not dry burn,,,remove dry wicks or rebuild. My method is to change coils every night place all used coils in a large mug of hot awater for a 1/2 soak...blow them out and sit them to dry,,,,once a week I soak all the coils in vodka for 1/2 hour...rinse and dry over night,,,I now have over 7 weeks with no failures, no burnt tastes, no dry burns no recoilings, no leaks or anything.....I use both 50/50 blends and 100% VG juices as well. I'm Lovin' it

First congrats on the Vape Escape!

You will feel so much better the longer you vape and stay away from the analogs, OMG!

I agree with your method, although some may think you are a bit over the top, but the Bcc' are so much better than the old cartos or the DC cartos...

I was a DC carto man, or a drip tip with a real atty, and I had tried carto yanks and swore I would never use another tank system until I saw the Protank II.

The carto tanks are junk, they all end up leaking because you damage the O ring when you refull them, even though you can now get those "guide tips" to help , note that word HELP protect the o ring during refills.

I leaked so much juice when I was using carto tanks, I mean what a mess!

I am working in Little Rock, AR 2.5 hrs from home and they have a really kewl store here Rouge Vapors..well I heard about them on the local radio so I figure well I might as well go check them out...

WOW so kewl to have a B&M store that had all the stuff we hear about and read about...

They have a juice bar where you can try all of their blends, some real comfy chairs to just sit and chat with others while we vape after work....

Really nice atmosphere!

This is funny; when I heard they had a juice bar, I was thinking now why would a vape shop have a place to get beverages....REALLY!

Well I guess it is in to vape and order a smoothie or something....LOL!

Yeah the Protanks are so awesome!

Another thing you can do, is if they sell PGA where you live use that instead of Vodka, seeing as 100 proof Vodka is half water!

Personally I would save the vodka to drink...........BURP! (Excuse me) ;)

Well again congrats and welcome to the world of being smoke free!

I got some Evod' too, pretty slick, and they look great too!

:vapor: ahhhh

Congradulations! Sounds like you are doing great! Love your method, I'll have to try that. The Protank 2 is a great device. Want to look into the Aspire BDC (if I can find it with a glass tank) since I love the dual coils. I've never had an issue with carto tanks when I use the fill tool to install new cartos and lube them a bit with juice first. JMHO.

evods/protanks work well for me too! it's been a learning curve for me and certain juices gunk them up bad-but I still like the simplicity(I don't do coil rebuilds-just pop in a new one if needed they aren't that expensive) maybe i'll try someday or let my husband try it-doesn't seem too hard-just haven't had desire to do yet. want protank 2 next.

I've been vaping almost two months now, or close to it. I have yet to clean a clearamizer, tank, or anything I've been using. Or replace a coil, although I have some replacements. Perhaps I just got so many, and using so many for different juices. Sometimes I just add a flavor to some juice that's already in something, or pour out the existing juice and add a different flavor (without getting all the old juice out of course).

I keep thinking somethings gotta give sooner or later. Good Lord, this can't go on forever right?

best regards, larry mac

I just replaced mine last week for the first time and I've been using them for almost 2 months. You'll know when it's time, you will get a burnt taste. It also depends on the juice you use, the sweeter ones will gunk it up faster than others. My favorite as of right now is Carmel.
