Do I ever have to recoil these things? I've been running them for a long time in my rm2 and protank. I take out the old cotton, dry burn, sing "I woke up in love this morning" by the Partridge family, put in the new cotton and repeat once the cotton gets gunked up. Does the wire ever go bad? I'm not complaining it's just crazy how long the coils have been lasting.

I've been running the same coil in my RM2 for about two weeks, and aside from cotton changes, haven't had to really mess with it at all... fiddle free vaping at its finest! I'll probably end up yanking the coil out and tweaking it a bit, just because I have about 70 feet of 28g Kanthal to use anyhow, so why not experiment?

I need to order another RM2 I think so I can have a "go-to" and a platform to mess with new builds.....

I've been using one micro-coil for over a month now in my IGO-L. I got tired of changing the cotton wick every day or two and tried gauze. That lasts a lot longer and the flavor is great too. But still the same coil. And with almost no chance of shorting, I think this puppy is going to last a long time yet.

I've been using microcoils and cotton in my protanks for a couple weeks now and love the convience of cotton replacement but I find my resistance if the coil went from 2.2 ohms to 2.6 ohms after I removed the cotton. I then had to do 2 full 10 second burns of the coil at full power to get it back down to the origional 2.2 ohms. I'm not sure what causes this but I'm assuming it gunks up inside the coil enough to alter the ohms. I'm going to have to check all my builds as the cotton starts to wear out to see if this ohm change is heritary of microcoils or just happened to this perticular coil.
I'm assuming you could get weeks if not longer on a microcoil as long as it keeps its shape and doesn't weaken and break. I've been now 2 weeks on a microcoil with it still going strong

my first 2 I rebuilt a week after 1st because it was my first build and was not perfect
the 2nd because I got 28 gage and it was better
I will do it again just because I want to see if its better going from 1.2 ohm to 1.0 ohm
but none of them showed any sign of needing to be rebuilt Just to try dif things

Love the flav out of these
I will def not miss buying T3 and evod heads

saving so much money on Igo-l micro coil and cotton
plus they flav is in a whole new universe:vapor:

Mine only last a day, two at most. Not the coil itself mind you, but my ability to refrain from building and installing a new one.:D

This. I don't think I've made it a full week on a single coil. After a couple of days, I get fidgety and rebuild the thing for no apparent reason. Perhaps Partridge Family music is the key to coil longevity.

I get a week to two weeks on the cotton I use. Its "peaches and cream" brand white yarn. I take 2 strands doubled over, pull through coil to make 4 strands, and put 2 strands on top. works/tastes great :)

My spools of wire have been getting lonely... I'm going on 3 weeks with 2 different coils and it's a beautiful thing.
I also had to replace a cotton wick the other day at work and it took me 10 seconds.
I think I'm in love LOL
I just switched to cotton last week and already have cotton balls and kanthal stashed at work:D No more having to push through a shift with a dying coil!
