OK! So I have smoked for decades. Currently I smoke about 2 PsAD of the "Blue 100s." I have lurked here for a while and y'all got me curious enough to go to the local Walgreens and try a "Blu Classic tobacco" disposable e-cig. It was hard to draw and the TH was lacking. I didn't mind the taste and decided that with a little more "oomph" it might be a great alternative to leafy cigs. I used to play drums in a rock band and I can recall the taste of our old fog machine... LOL! Anyway, I'm looking into a joyetech-C and wondering if any of y'all have tried a "Blu" and how it might compare. Thanks in advance y'all.

I have tried the Blu, I regretted the money I spent on them. I think peoples opinions are all over the place on the topic and what one person loves another person hates. I was not thrilled with the C but there are those that like it.

I quit a week and a half ago. If I can, you can. But let me be honest: it isn't the same. It takes the edge off, it fills that "crave" but it just isn't the same. Different, and it's nicer on this side. Just different.

I never tried a Blu. Wish I could help you there. But find a local vape shop and try out some tobacco juices. It won't be the same, but trust me, you'll find something you can live with.

The C is a fairly common model and should work fine. Were it me I'd consider the two pack (think Joyetech has it) of two eGo Twists with 1350mah batteries. Someone should be along shortly to verify. A second device while one is charging is a life saver!

Welcome aboard, and best wishes on quitting! After 15 years of trying, this is all that worked for me.

Thanks for the frank advice. I figured that there is no easy way out, but vaping was the only method that I could find that may work for me. Unfortunately, I have no local shops within 100 miles. It's funny, but Vapor Alley is just a few miles away but Rick doesn't have a store.

Get yourself an eGo or two, I usually suggest the ones that have a USB connector so you can vape while charging, 650 or 900 or even 1000mah all work, just depends on the length you're comfortable carrying. 650 is about 3", 1000 is about 4 1/4"

To go along with the eGo or two, get yourself some Vision brand "Clearomizers" as they are a fairly straight forward no fuss solution for new vapers. I'd suggest getting 2.4ohm or 2.0ohm depending on whatever one is "Low Resistance" for the website you buy from. If you get "V3" those have replacable heads instead of replacing the whole unit, so get 2 clearos and a 5 pack of heads. If it's not the replacable coil just grab a 5 pack of Clearos. They're usually good for 2-4 weeks depending on the juice you run through them.

You'll also need some liquid, I'm not sure who has good premade stuff but I hear Johnson Creek is what Blu uses.

MyFreedomSmokes.com I know for sure sells all the equipment I've mentioned and has premade juice.

I'd suggest 50% VG unless you have a PG allergy for a good mix of flavor and vapor. (Allergy would have been obvious by now with the storebought ones you've been puffing)

Thanks for the info! I'll go with some Vision Clearos. and a couple of packs of replacement heads. As far as an allergry to PG, I bet I have inhaled more of it than anyone on this forum... LOL!!!

Tried a single blu disposable - meh. Then tried a single njoy king - much better than the blu, was enough to decide it might be worth investing in a cig-a-like. Chose the smoov, was a hundred times better than the throwaways. Quickly moved on to bigger and better - the evic. Was tired of filling cartos 3 -4 times a day.

The ego twist with an evod is what I recommend to those who ask me about trying out e-cigs. Cheap enough to not regret the purchase if it doesn't work out, and yet flexible enough to last a while.
I have only tried one top coil clearo - the iclear 30, didn't care for it, personally prefer the bottom coil.

The best and fully customizable kit is the Twist/Spinner kit from MVS. It has all you need to get started--and it's all good stuff.

http://www.myvaporstore.com/Vision_Spinner_Joye_Ego_C_Twist_Combo_p/vvs-c.htm

I recommend getting a 1300 mAh Vision Spinner, maybe a smaller Twist (650 or 900 mAh) A T3, an eVod and a few spare coils (they are listed separately as they are not included in the kit.

After that you'll just need to get some eliquid to fill your clearomizers with and you're on your way to vaping--and all under 100 bucks!

Good luck and happy vaping!
