So after proper steeping my flavor is just...there...but not making my mouth water like it did initially. I have tried a couple different mixes with different flavor percentages but they steep and just dull out..maybe I am just not mixing low enough?

TFA Strawberry Ripe
12mg nic
50/50
Steeped in Ultrasonic Cleaner
Mixed flavor at 10, 15, 20%

Maybe I need to add some sweetener?

Does juice just get stale when it gets to old? I have some bottles that are months and months old...do I dare vape them?

Thanks for any insite. I realize most people probably use all their DIY juice bedore it has a chance to get old ;-)

Wow at 20% it should be plenty strong. I mixed it at 5% and it was plenty strong for me. I know adding to much flavor is no good as it can give the same no taste effect. Take the 10% mix and dilute it by half and see if that helps. If not try adding 1 drop lemon juice per 10ml. I also know that TFA flavors have a tendency to fade and mellow while steeping but 15 to 20% sounds like to much flavor to me.

I'm sorry, but if steeping it is causing you trouble, why are you steeping?

I second this, sweets and fruits generally dont require much of a steep.
My personal advice on what your mixing.... i would run it through the USC for 20-30 mins with the lid off the USC and the lid off of the juice.
Reason for the lid off both things is because most of the time fruity alcohol based flav's need to vent a little.
also the 15-20% range may be a bit high as stated before.

Getting the juice to sing usually comes through 'additives' in my experiences. Yes, I would lower the percentage as Danny suggested first and foremost. After that, you might need to experiment with adding certain touches here and there.

For example, I forget exactly which one it is, but some people recommend adding a very slight amount (1-2%) of either watermelon or raspberry to strawberry blends to get them to taste more realistic. You could also try adding a few drops of TFA Sour and some sweetener to mimick the fruit experience (tart and sour yet sweet at the same time). A drop of lemon juice per 5 or 10mls helps too.

Just keep in mind theres alot you can experiment with to make one simple flavor very dynamic and realistic, so don't get discouraged if it doesn't taste incredible right away. Keep messing around with it and use the failures as determination.

With fruits that you don't use a cream flavor in I would recommend no more then an hour in the UC. As mentioned earler they need little to no steeping.
