hey guys, i mangled the bridge nicochrome with a pair of hemostats and thought i could give the metal bridge under it a good tug. crap - the whole thing came out. i totally forgot that a good yank will pull the entire assembly out.

anyone know how to dewick the LR 901's with that damn washer in there?

hey issac - since you can't use a cart anyway with a LR atty, how about some bridgeless ones? I would LOVE one of those!!!! that way i can keep on top of cleaning it. I can't see squat under that damn bridge and don't know how bad the gunk is until it just peters out. with my DIY juice, they gunk up pretty fast. I know there is plenty of life left in them if i could dry burn off the gunk, but i can't see what's going on.

that washer is a pita in more ways than one, but without a bridge in there, it wouldn't be a prob.

mama wants a bridgeless (wickless?) one!!! :p

I simply do not know why folks want to de-bridge and de-wick their attys. The only one I de-wick is the 306 because it is there, staring you in the face.

it was that, or throw it out because it was no longer satisfying. With DIY or heavy VG, there has to be a way to get at the coil to clean it well. The wick is in the WAY. PGA soaks, dry burning won't touch it when it needs a good hot soak.

I'm not looking to change my juice to fit the atty. Some of us have different NEEDS, but i digress. Issac has it handled and knows exactly what i'm talking about and what I need.

The rings are a royal PITA. Can't blow out the atty from the battery end because the ring traps the juice. blow it out from the top and it comes flying out the blow hole on the side. It's not an ikenvape problem = it's an ongoing ....ty design change by DSE last year.

Issac let me know what's up buddy ;-) You know i love the LR 901, but upkeep is too much.

Why can't you use a LR atty with a cart? I'm new and just don't know
Because an LR atty, is Low resistance. The lower the resistance, the hotter the atom will get. 1.5 is dangerously low. A cart as you may know has polyester batting inside. 1.5Ω will burn that thing right up and will even melt the plastic on the lower end of the mouthpiece with time. There is a temperature rule of e-liquids reaching an unsafe zone, but I'm not too sure exactly where it is on ECF or if 1.5Ω reaches that area. If you look up the member Sun vaporer you can easily find it in his statistics on his profile under "Threads made by".

I'm not having any luck yet Mama. They seem to be feel really strong about the new set up, but I'm going to keep challenging them to revive it. The bridge is anther story though. I spoke with one of my favorite engineers about it and he too, strongly cautions not to make it without. Meaning, we're looking at an investment of a couple G's. "Sweating smiley face"

aw bummer issac. thank you so much for looking into it for mama though! good son :) well if they do without the ring it will make a tremendous difference in being able to blow them out. I'm back to my 801 shorty now and i love it. so easy to blow out.

i sent you a link to a company making LR bridgeless 510's. i don't know the company though. I didn't even know they made them. I've destroyed too many thru the past year trying to diy them lol. you know i'm not handy at all with my hands, or eyes. :?:

call me when the RY4 double barrels comes in :p
