I think it's all about what ever makes YOU as a individual happy and content. If your happy with your ego set up then that's Awsome! For ME personally, I started out with the Ego but wanted more punch. I also wanted the power to run my RBA tanks (rebuildable coil tanks) I went through in the past year about ten devices and I've finally settled comfortably with a regulated mod that I can vape at a high wattage, can control my watts and volts, can Sub Ohm vape on down to .1 without restrictions, has plenty of power to run my Rebuildable tanks, and is dual rechargeable, removable batteries so i get a amazing battery life of 2 1/2 days before I need to remove and recharge my batteries. That battery life is even with very heavy vaping.!! Those were all the qualities I was looking for in a device and I've finally found it! Now I too am happy. The ego just was not able to do the things I wanted and that is why I moved on. Everyone has different needs and different vaping styles and goals. If the Ego fits into those goals and vaping style, then that's wonderful!! I don't see why anyone would hate the ego? It may not be their particular style or need but that's no reason to hate it or put anyone down for using it. Also sometimes along our vaping journey our needs change and what works for you today might not fit your future needs. That's ok as well. I think it all boils down to what we like and what fits our needs. So if your happy with your Ego, that's Great!! Enjoy!! After all isn't it about what we as individuals enjoy?? So be happy and do NOT worry about what others say about the Ego. If your happy, that's all that counts!! Enjoy your vaping expirence the way YOU want to! Hope this helps and I wish you the very best!

Anyone who already has an ego style battery and is happy I would never suggest they upgrade. If it ain't broke ......

For someone looking at buying their initial setup, I would steer them towards something like the istick 30 Because of size, battery life, performance and sub $35 price tag.

I got by just fine last week using my first 2 ego batteries after my itaste 134 stopped working and while I waited on the istick 30 to arrive. They definately get the job done.

I started 7 months ago with V2 cigs and the small EX-blanks with E liquid. Wanted to try something larger so got some EGO kits CE4's (1100mah) off Ebay for under $7.00 with free shipping. They work pretty good and I now have 6 of them. Been using them for 5-6 months. Wanted larger and better carts, so got the Kanger T3s and am very pleased with the set up. You can also get an adaptor from Smoktek for under $3.00 so you can use the 88/808d carts on the Ego with 510 thread.

Kanger Evod on an eGo Twist was a good mobile setup for me, but the heads were too flaky, and my eGos have been on the shelf for a while.

I do miss the smaller form factor, and I'm considering getting a dedicated rebuildable like the Taifun GS that will pair nicely with the eGo.

I also like the new square eGo types that Innokin recently put out.

Minis seem to be the trend now, so we may see a return to the pen style mods, but with more power.
