I would suggest trying 24mg and buying potent liquid from a reputable supplier like Smoke juice & juice supplies | My Freedom Smokes when you get the money.

Don't buy a screwdriver if you are doubtful of continuing to vape. Making your own is just too easy. For a one stop self mod shop.... go to MadVapes LLC and buy your supplies and click on the "how to" section for complete and very easy to do instructions on building them.

Just as an experiment try using a neti pot for 2-3 weeks-

It will clean up your sinuses and your sense of taste and smell.

Interesting that you mention sinuses because I have a lot of sinus problems and the days where I find myself chain vaping (and not feeling very satisfied) are the days when my sinuses are most clogged (like today). The same thing used to happen to me with analogs too — days when my sinuses were feeling the worst were the days I tended to smoke even more. I guess taste/smell has a significant connection to it.

Not sure if this will help, but I found what I was missing with analogs was not so much the analogs themselves but the harshness. My worst times were with my morning cup of coffee. What worked for me was not a higher nic juice but something with more PUNCH or burn if you will the sensation of the analog. I mixed a batch of spearment/pepermint and then another bath that tasted suspiciously like an atomic fireball (cinnamon). The burn helped a LOT!.

The burn, yes! I don't vape anything that has a burn to it, but I've discovered that a sip or two of whiskey can really help me out sometimes since I quit analogs. And it's not because of the alcohol (I'm talking *sip*, not shot), it's because of the burning sensation you feel as it goes down.

Well I was analog free for about a month, but i've been smoking again for like 3. I use the ecig on and off, but usually only make it 4 or 5 hours till my roomate, girlfriend, brother, mom, friends, ect. are available to give me a real one. Everyone in my life smokes so it makes it hard. I also have addiction problems and a weak willpower.

I will try the higher strengths, maybe get a big bottle of 36ml tobacco and mix it with the 18's I have.

Throat hit isnt the issue...Its hitting good for me, its just not the same anymore. Especially when I'm drinking. Attys and battys seem to be working good.

Realistically I just need to tough it out, but unlike before its actually a challenge. Its like I'm giving up smoking alltogether. Thanks for the imput. I was looking at mods for a nicostick last night. I know nothing of making things like this, so I'm prolly just gonna go for the screwdriver when I can afford one.

That totally sucks that you're not only back where you started, but having a much harder time with it. I'm not sure if it'll help at all, but it wasn't easy for me either. Well, it was but it wasn't. I went through withdrawal/detox/whatever and I felt horrible. I was a mess for days, then gradually less of a mess for a few weeks after that. The e-cig didn't really satisfy me.

What it did do was satisfy my ritual. So even though I was hungry for whatever it is that I was so desperately missing from analogs, the habit itself was being satisfied. And because of that, I didn't think OMG I NEED TO SMOKE. I felt bad, but the feeling didn't have a strong connection to a lack of smoking. I knew I felt bad because I'd quit smoking, but there was no impulse to reach for a cigarette to make myself feel better. I hope that made sense.

Anyway, you're probably thinking you've ruined your chances by not having stuck with it the first time. But you might just need to approach it differently to counter the less satisfying feeling. Maybe a gradual switch from smoking to vaping will work better. Or maybe instead of looking for that same level of satisfaction, you can get yourself into a mindset of just seeing how long you can go without smoking if you vape the hell out of that e-cig. No pressure, no commitment — just see how long you can hold out. Bet a few weeks from now you'll be amazed that you're still not smoking ;)

Hang in there.

Hi Garrell,
I'm in the same boat, and having a tough time. I had to lay someone off at work, which was rotten, and stressful, and after 6 mos with 0 analogs, I started smoking 1-2-3, then 1/2 pack a day. And I'm right back to coughing again, and hating the way analogs make me feel. I'd smoked 40 years. I know I have to make the switch back.
This is a very good example of what can go wrong with e-cigs, and this after 6 months with no cigarettes. Many people who quit smoking start again when they hit a crises situation, even after years of not smoking. Unfortunately e-liquid has missing elements to it compared with smokes, and it isn't the toxins. Nicotine has the stimulating effect but the other alkaloids in tobacco which are missing in e-liquid have the calming effect. That's the part most people are looking for when they hit a crises.

There are other tobacco reduced harm products that do have the missing pieces, as in Swedish style snus, nasal snuff and dissolvables. If you're struggling with staying off the smokes you would do well to explore some other options besides e-cigs.
