bigJim you crack me up. great video. Now I have to watch all 88 of your videos. My wife feels like the computer has pulled me away from her. I can't stop reading about ecigs and mods, diy, juices. There is a ton of information out there. Funny thing is, I don't even have to leave the E-cigarette forum. That really says something about the base and experience of you people.

I still bum the occasional cigarette after about 2 months. I usually go the whole day, from waking up until getting home from work, without any nicotine at all. But sometimes I get to about lunch while having a bad day and just can't do it and go off and bum a smoke from someone, or pop in a piece of nicotine gum I have left over from before I got a PV. Sometimes it happens if I go to a bar too, as I'm not huge on using the PV in public for one reason or another. It happens. I still figure I haven't bought a pack of smokes in over 2 months, so I've saved a lot of money compared to the 2 packs a day I was smoking, and I feel a lot healthier.

There will be days you'll bum a smoke, or find a smoke, and you'll go with it. My mantra is that I no longer buy cigarettes. Instead of smoking the 100 packs or so I would have put down in the last month, I've smoked maybe 15 cigarettes... That's a pretty big win in my opinion even if I still smoke the occasional analogue.

Thanks! :) The big thing about my videos is, when something goes wrong, like I try to review a liquid and have a dead battery to do the review, or if my dog starts raping his pillow in the background and totally derails the video, it's not staged. I make one run on the video during production. No editing, nothing fancy. But sometimes the end result is priceless. :D

Feel free to subscribe and comment on my $100.00 e-cig mod giveaway video. I'm giving an AdapteveR mod away to one lucky person at the end of the month.

I wouldn't worry about it if i was you. Your battery died, and you had a cigarette. One cigarette, and the first thing you wanted to do was go back for your e cig...that seems to me to be a wonderful step in the right direction. Each week I try a puff of a friend's cigarette, not because i have too, but because i want to. I keep testing the water to see if it feels as good, or tastes as good as my tornado. It never does. You seem to be concentrating on the negative...having smoked 1 cigarette...try to think about the positive...your first reaction was to vape.

Yeah, my batt in my smoke detector was dying. I fixed that nuisance since then. I ripped the detector off the ceiling and chucked it out my window. :D

Err.... No, actually I replaced the battery. :pervy:

I want to make a statement. The only "failure" I see here is no failure. We live in a country hell bent on ridding itself on a PROVEN device that will save peoples LIVES, yet will cost the special interests MONEY if we get our way.

Now you know WHY they want to rid of these things, in such a rabid way that they are doing. They WORK, and they can't TAX them yet. Imagine for a moment if every American smoker turned to the Electronic Cigarette? The tax revenue would dry up in a single evening. No no. Can't have that, now can we?

Like I said, pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and start off again. No need to feel guilty here. Cigarettes are DESIGNED to keep you hooked. In my opinion, e-cigs DO work as a stop smoking aid. We just can't say it officially.

I'll admit, after about two weeks I still smoke a regular now and then. That is probably my favorite thing about the ecig, is that you can do that without too many problems. With the gum or patch, I discovered one drag can be the thing that pushes you off a very slippery slope. With the ecig, it is just something to hold me over till I can get what I really want.

Only quit aid I have ever used that allows me to cheat and not totally fall off the wagon. I am not saying you should cheat, but one analog in about a week, you should still be proud.

I lost the battle too today. But only because I ran out of juice! lol

I ordered some Halo on April 29th and it hasn't come yet :(
(more like Ha-slow, am I right?... Eh?)

On the plus side, after going 7 days without a single cigarette (and not even wanting one), I realized how disgusting analogs are. My favorite brand now tastes completely alien to me, and it makes me sick to smoke it. Sadly my craving for nicotine overcomes all.

Er, and I what I mean by that disgustingness being a plus is that it makes switching back to analogs even less tempting.

You're not a failure! I started vaping in mid February and slipped a few times. Your reason was out of desperation, mine wasn't (it was habit). I made the mistake of keeping a pack of real cigs in the house. I found myself lighting real cigs when I was on the phone! They tasted okay in the beginning, but after a couple of weeks, I'd light them and they tasted horrible. I finally ended up throwing them out!

Now I have a stock of approx. 10 or so batteries, 3 wall chargers, a usb charger, and a car charger! I'm determined to never smoke a real cig. again. You'll do it too. Just stock up on batts and always carry a PCC with you!

I was really worried about that when I switched to pv's, so when I ordered my kit, I made sure there was a pcc in there. I have found it invaluable. I have 2 batteries that came with my kit, and the second battery can be found in that pcc at all times, and my pcc either in my pocket, or in my purse. I never leave the house with out making sure I have it. I can usually get 2 full battery charges out of it, and another maybe half. but I have a usb charger in my car (for my ipod actually), and I'm nearly constantly around a computer.
Believe me, it's been a lifesaver.

On an unrelated note... Am I the only one who thinks my juice actually tastes kind of good?

You're doing well and besides there's always another way to look at this.

I still have a cig a day or even up to 3!!
Largely due to a dead battery or trying to sort out this damn nasty cart taste i've been getting. (Need mods)
Sometimes the temptation is there too as my partner still smokes.

Anyway, the way I look at it is even if some of us still smoke a bit we are way, way in front and eventually once we have this system down most will be smoke free long term.

Think how many cigs you aren't smoking and it's OK to enjoy the odd one or two you do smoke. After all, most of us smoked a pack a day or even more and some for years!!!

You're doing great!!!

I know how that goes. Been down that path with other quit methods. "I'll only smoke when I am riding a yellow unicorn through the Vatican wearing a spiderman costume." You can bet, by weeks end I would have glued a stick to my dogs head, got some yellow hair dye and jetted off to Italy with my spidey costume under my clothes.

WTF.... I'm confused...
