This experience is amazing me. I eyeballed e-cigs from the first time I saw an article in the Smokers' Rights newsletter, and finally dove in a couple of weeks ago. With a basement filled with boxes of Nicotrol, gum and patches that did nothing for me, I wasn't sure what to expect.

When my first package came, this is what I got: Finally - an alternative that just might save my life! When my old instincts kick in and I pick up the occasional analog, I don't even like it any more. I smell it as I get set to light up, and feel the noxious byproducts of combustion as I inhale. This morning I reached for a morning analog, and actually put it out instead of smoking it. That felt great.

After more than 35 years of 3 packs a day, this is all wonderfully amazing to me.

With the looming threat of FDA interference, I've felt compelled to stock up on everything I need. I can't let them destroy my chance to quit smoking.

I've been working hard to figure out what parts and flavors work best for me. I figure at least three months of supplies will be needed to survive a ban without returning to tobacco.

It truly is bizarre to wake up craving plum e-juice instead of Marlboros :)

First - Update your profile and add your location. Friends in your area will be a big help.

I have enough supplies for over a year. If a ban comes along, I'm going down fighting.

Check the link below. All the information you'll need is there;

How long did it take you guys before the analogs were distasteful? I've been vaping for the last couple days....i haven't had an analog since i got my ecig. Though at times the urge has been semi strong(after meals is the worst.) On a positive note even when i have a strong craving the ecig takes care of it very well. I just haven't hit the point where the craving is for the ecig over the analog. I'd really like my next analog experiance to be a negative one though :D

Also i may be an optimist but i am not convinced the ban on ecigs is going to make it alot harder to get supplies(though i really feel for the US suppliers.) I've ordered quite alot of "illegal"(i know that sounds bad...lol....maybe grey area is a better description) stuff online. I tend to think that the FDA just doesn't want this stuff advertised to your everyday joe. For example malls/walgreens/truck stops. As selfish as it sounds i'd rather my hobby remain a small enthusiast type of phenomenon. In my experience less attention is better with these sort of things.

Give it a week or so, then bum one off a friend. You'll find they taste very NASTY. ;)
