I made my first SI order!!!

I got to make my order a little early than expected. I thought I would start a thread to talk about my experience with it. Shopping was fun! I changed my mind many times and ended up ordering

The Volt Pro Starter Kit with Sealed Auto Purple Battery 78mm - Purple LED, Smooth Sampler - XHigh (2.4%) , Manual Raspberry Battery 78mm - White LED, Mega Charging Case (v2) - Purple Lid and I included the USB Wall Adapter and USB Battery Charger as extras because it's cheaper to do it that way and I needed/wanted them anyway.

And then I also ordered a third battery. Pink 78mm manual...it will be my first time using a manual and I ordered two so I hope I like it!

I also got the Sweet sampler pack, a 30ml of Menthol Burst and a 30ml of 555. Hopefully the carts will last long enough to be used over until I can order again next month. I'm not sure if it will though. (It will also be my first time refilling my carts with liquid).

Each cartomizer will hold 1mL of liquid- If you only refill once a day, a 30mL bottle should last you about a month. Since you got two bottles with multiple packs of cartomizers, I think you have well enough to last you til your next order.

I told you they were good.

The SI cartos seem to last forever, especially if you are using SI juice. I am still using the same carto for my mint, ry4 and ice menthol since May 6th. I have refilled each of them at least 20 times and they are still going strong. No bad flavor and tons of vapor.
The key is don't let them dry out. As soon as you feel them getting airy, or not as much vapor, fill them up. I top them off every night.

Filling is simple. Steeljan has a video on the SI website on how to do it. You can also do the condom fill method. I use the condom fill method from the mouthpiece side and it works great. 60ml should last you a month.

A little hint with the menthol. I found that you can refill any of the mint/menthol prefilled cartomizers with any of the menthol juices and it tastes just fine. By the second refill, the actual mint you are using has the exact taste.

Three batteries on hand is always a good idea. At first, I wasn't really sure that I liked manual batteries, but I actually prefer them, now. Still didn't stop me from getting a 65mm and a 78mm in every color in auto before I went manual (yes, I'm obsessive about Volts, but I only have half a dozen manual batteries). With the X2 batteries, the new manual is the way to go, with the 5-click on/off switch. I really like it.

I'm sure you'll like the mega v2 pcc, too. I use mine at work most of the time, if I forgot to top off batteries the night before. That way, work can't get all wrinkly nosed because I used the usb on the computer for charging.

I don't think you'll have any problems with refilling carts. I eventually bought a boatload of blanks for liquids, but I still get prefilled for a few of my favorites now and again (even though it isn't necessary). I used to use the "condom" method to fill them, but now I drip and spin, since I have a lanyard that works for this purpose. Sometimes it all seems such a fuss, but I don't mind. I'm not smoking.

I get the prefilled when I order an si juice. Since they cost the same as the blank, I get 5 free ml, and then refill with the juice. 1 pack of prefilled cartos can be refilled with at least 2 30ml bottles of si juice

I'm thinking I'll do it your way too... Drip and spin. I need to look up a tutorial or 2 first so that I know what what I'm doing lol

This is the basic idea of filling. I use a rubber glove, put the carto down in the finger and spin it.

I'm a little confused (honestly it doesn't take much lol) but I thought you weren't suppose to get any juice down the middle...yet he dunking the entire cartridge in juice? Does that rule not apply anymore or?????

The reason you don't want to get juice down the middle, is because that is the air hole that leads to the battery. If you get juice down the hole, it will pool on the battery, or come in your mouth. When you do a condom fill, you simply put the cap back on and blow through and it will clear the hole. You will hear it spit. Just blow into a tissue or sink. It takes 2 seconds. Then just take a tissue or cue tip and wipe the battery connection. I like condom filling because it's easier than sitting there and going drip by drip. When you drip, you have to wait for it to soak up. I only drip fill to top off a carto that I used , but didn't empty. I don't always do the spin either, only when it's a new, dry carto, or if I don't want to wait 10 minutes for it to soak up.

Luckily I have a purse charm to bead for someone. That should keep my mind off of it or at least keep me busy lol. Oh, I think I will make my own beaded volt lanyard. I have to wait for the battery though, so I can get the right measurements. Yes....too much time on my hands these days lol.
