I'm happy to announce that after a year of vaping other brands...I have finally stopped smoking altogether since I received my Volt kit on Thursday! Ok, so it's only been about 2 days or so...I'm still proud of myself lol. But this morning I woke up with the worst headache! I'm thinking it's because I haven't had any of the other crap that they put in cigs. Anyone else go through that when you quit completely?

Be sure to drink plenty of water, dehydration could be the cause of the headache.

Thank you! So far that's the only downside. It's going pretty smoothly with the volt. Don't miss the other at all. I'm glad I got an extra battery. We only smoke in the kitchen. I was use to going in there and lighting one up. I put the extra battery out there and drag on that instead. Works perfectly! I also want to thank this forum and everyone on it for all your help you have given me and all the other newbies too. I really appreciate it! :)

Congrats achangeinhabit, IMO, the first couple days are the hardest. Having a good product that's easy to use is a big help.

I agree with everybody else regarding your headache. If you're getting enough nicotine from the vape, it's most likely dehydration. Vaping will dehydrate you, so just make sure you drink a lot of water.

Now that you've been analog free for a couple of days, you may begin to notice that you cough a lot and some phlegm. That's not from vaping. Your body will begin to cough up a lot of the junk that you have been inhaling from the analogs.

Keep it up, we're all proud of you

Thank you! I've been taking the advice and drinking more water today. I feel the headache coming back but took aspirin right away. My throat feels clearer than it has in a long time. usually there was a feeling of junk/phlegm in there. That's gone. :thumb:
That's great to hear.
For me, the headache and other symptoms of withdraw were short lived and mild. I kept smoking analogs after meals for a few weeks and didn't worry about quitting. Getting down from 3 to 0 was just natural, the only holdout being my morning wakeup analog. One morning I just grabbed my PV instead of a cig, and I've been smoke free for 2 months now with no desire to fire one up. I never thought that going from 35+ years of over a pack a day to zero would be so easy.

I drank lots of water yesterday and there is no headache today! Thanks again for the advice!

I am filling my own carts now...as of last night. I'm still a little nervous though because in the video it shown the juice coming up out of the battery end but you're not suppose to get juice on the battery. I filled it a little over half way and it didn't bubble up over the battery end like on the video. Again, I'm still nervous and confused because I thought you were suppose to get any juice in that area. Oh and Yes, I did clean the battery end off and also blew in the hole to get some out.

It won't hurt it if you get juice on the the battery end of the terminal. Many people actually do the condom fill from that side because that is where the atty is. After you are done filling, just clean it off with a tissue or qtip. If you do a condom fill, you will get juice in the air hole, you just blow it out. No harm.
