I MISS you guys and... I am FREEZING!!!

I hope everyone had a great weekend and want to say Happy NEW Year!!
It is very cold in Florida right now!!!
I have been crazy moving MIL into new house which finally passed the CO .. I cant beleive how much stuff she owns! I cant beleive how much stuff I own..LOL.
This entire process is taking so long because its like we are doing 3 moves!
We took over my MIL's mortgage about 5 yrs ago and she had bought a place but the community fell through.. we had just moved in from NY at the time.
So she stayed put in her (our place)
Then we decided we would just build a 1200 sf add on to our place so we could take care of her in the long run.. well the first guy took off with everything she owned and in Fla it sucks, nothing we can do a bout it.. its soo horrible over 80,000!!! 8-o
So 1 new contractor later we are finally finished!!!!
Comcast should be there by Wed so we can finish moving TV's and her couch in and then next weekend we SHOULD have all HER stuff in. Then I am going to do some major cleaning and ripping wallpaper down in a few rooms before we move in. I should be "totally in" in the next 2 weeks. We also have a storage place and our garage packed to the rim with all our belongings so it is going to be rough this next month. pure crazziness! But I will have internet if all goes as planned..lol.
So that is where I have been and OMG it is FREEZING in Florida I am sooooooo cold! Tomorrow we wil be in the 20's 8-o NOT looking forward to it at all! I am hoping we get a rain cloud and see some flurries but looking at weather doesnt look to good.
well I am off to try to catch up with everything. I missed the darn contest.. I am going to put up my entry tomorrow anyways

It's really cold here in Ohio too. Beautiful snow yesterday....big, fluffy flakes. Today, it's not as pretty.

Miss you too, Lori! We got an unexpected snowfall here a few days ago. I was grabbing some lunch last Wednesday when I looked outside and saw big fluffy flakes beginning to fall gracefully. A few hours later, there was a good 3 inches of white stuff covering the city. My clients' ride to the bar got cancelled on them (Tri-met, apparently, is staffed by a bunch of WIMPS!) so I drove them to the bar only to have a certain employee who thinks WAAY too highly of himself cut me off after one drink because he thought I was trying to vape behind his back and he wasn't having that...but since I was driving, I wasn't planning to drink anyway so when that didn't work to upset me he threatened to '86' me if I even took out my PV...

The snow had pretty well melted by morning.

Thank you guys..it'll take a while and I am actually having fun thinking about what I am going to do to the place to make it "mine" and also since alot of stuff has been in storage its like a super big Christmas opening each box!!! I forgot I had some of this stuff!!!
and yeah very very cold and my computer set up is in the Florida room.. which is usually my favorite place to be.. I need a heater in here right now!!!

hey Lori i was wondering where the heck you were. Hope it all turns out ok. yeh i cant take this cold weather at all. my wife went to work this morn with gloves and winter coat. man it looked so funny. last time i seen here with winter coat was 20 years ago when we lived in NYC. man its wierd this weather. i dont know how others take this cold.

All you guys in FL complaining about it being cold.....when I'm stuck up here in he cold NY weather (with nasty winds) for many more months :'(

All I have to keep me warm is my xhaler and HV juices (oh my husband too) that's not so bad...but i would love some warm weather that you guys are complaining about lol

I heard it was in the 20s in Florida last night...Thats pretty crazy...It was like 25 last night here...In the wind it was MUCH colder, but 20s in Fla. is pretty crazy!!!!

if this weather continues to be this cold every winter in florida im moving back to NY irs 1212 am and i just went out on the porch to get some air and geez i was freezing. holy moly man i remember the day in NY when i had to dig my car out to get to work in the am, i do not miss that stuff at all lol
i think my blood is way too thin now. man bring back the warmth lol

Yeah I think I miss the cold til we get a week of this ....! Although if its gonna be 30 in the winter, and disgusting from May to Nov, might as well go back to NY where there is spring and fall! (and somewhat normal people!)

RamMan that is so funny.. normal people lolololol. I moved here in 1988 from Long island and ive been saying the same thing you said. i got a good morning laugh at that one. Lived in queens when i was younger got married when i came home from service in 1970 then lived in queens 4 more years before moving to Long Island then left for good ole sunny Fl in 1988. I remember my van my kids were younger than so i had me, my wife my 2 sons 2 dogs 2 cats and 2 big Iguanas. and guess what the animals were great and were so well behaved but my 2 kids fought the whole way down here lol
oh yeh Life was good then. sometimes i wish i can go back in time.
anyway having my coffee and vaping on a greencig cart. filled it with Blueberry crumble. usually in am i vape just tobacco then switch over to sweet stuff in afternoon but this blueberry crumble is golden.

It has been like 9 or 10F here in KY for days. 20 or 30 sounds great.
A cold front has hit most of the eastern part of USA. We are expecting snow come Thursday this week.
