rejoice man that is terrible. yeh there is a big difference between 30 degrees and 9 or 10 . I remember my oldest son used to play hockey years ago in a kids league in Long Island. one time the ice rink was outside and the game was at night. it was about 15 degrees and very windy. the coaches didnt even call off the game so we all bundled up our kids with light layers of clothing to try to keep them warm. Like 4 to 5 thin jackets. anyway the kids were fine that nite but us parents standing there in the stands were freezing.
So i really feel for the people that live in the cold states. and here we are .....ing its only 30 degres. anyone from washinton and teh northern states on Canadian border? how cold does it get there? has to be below 0 many times. geez.

Woot, awesome to see a fellow Vaporer here in Deltona!!! I've convertd a few out here and many of my co-workers. :D

I woke up today to 27 degrees, and we're under a Hard Freeze warning for tonight with a low of 24 degrees. My snot will freeze tomorrow morning when I take my son to school tomorrow morning, plus I'll need to give a 21 gun salute to my Grapefruit tree in the backyard. Even covered, I don't think it'll take 5-7 days of this weather. :(

vape on!

RamMan that is so funny.. normal people lolololol. I moved here in 1988 from Long island and ive been saying the same thing you said. i got a good morning laugh at that one. Lived in queens when i was younger got married when i came home from service in 1970 then lived in queens 4 more years before moving to Long Island then left for good ole sunny Fl in 1988. I remember my van my kids were younger than so i had me, my wife my 2 sons 2 dogs 2 cats and 2 big Iguanas. and guess what the animals were great and were so well behaved but my 2 kids fought the whole way down here lol
oh yeh Life was good then. sometimes i wish i can go back in time.

LOL The farther us Long Islanders go off the Island, the less normal everyone is!! Maybe "normal" is the wrong word... LOL:D

Great to see you back (I am assumming you are home now -- as if you were ever "away" (from here with your new fangled gadget :)) anyways
I WISH..LOL It took me all day yesterday to move her kitchen over and I am still not done with the kitchen :( There is soooo much, she has nothing packed.. I am moving it then cleaning before I can get my stuff in.
My hubby and freinds will be around today to move the big stuff.. we should have her finished and moved in this weekend.
Then we can move the rest of our house in and get the stuff out of storage and the garage this week and next weekend. I m hoping we will be in and a little settled by next Sunday.. at least enough to live there only.. this back and forth is killing me and its soooooo cold!
Back to moving.. see you all later.

My huskey dog does not want to go outside. I know they are suppose to be made for cold weather, but Jenna my dog does not want to go out. She has a nice doghouse and all. She is sitting in the kitchen. I will not let her go into the living room or other rooms. She has a hair shedding problem. She is kinda spoiled. The degrees has finally made it to 16

rejoice-I have a red husky with blue eyes-she can been seen on the Holiday Contest thread or in my albumn on my profile.

She would rather be in the house over outside in any weather! In the summer when the a/c is on, she will lay right in front of the registers. If she has been out too long in the winter she will lay on our bed because we have a heated mattress pad!

This breed is just hairy but having raised 3 hybred wolves prior to my husky, I'm used to the hair and we have always allowed free roam of the house. Although this one is allowed on the furniture (it needs replacing) and the others were not (it was new then).

I don't mind dehairing every other day as the love I get in exchange is priceless!

I checked out your profile and very cute husky. My Jenna is so fat. She does the same thing in the summer. Sit on the air ducts in the floor.
I am trying to put her on a diet and it is so hard to do. She acts like she is staving. I used to let her run free in the house and my carpet, furnture was full of hair. Had to vacuum everyday. I do not have time to do this, since I work a job. I have her and a cat. My cat is named Salem and him and Jenna do not get along.

Hybrid wolves are wolves mixed with shepherds and/or malamutes. I love all animals also. We had a .... show up one night, I didn't see it was out there when I let the dog out. Naturally she ran right to it. It didn't move and it didn't move when I went out to chase it off. That's usually a sign that they are sick cause coons are fighters. Anyways, my husband had to put it out of it's misery-made me cry.

I could fill a whole forum with animal stories! Wild and/or tame!

Thank you! Sable is the opposite, we can't get her to gain weight. She has a ph imbalance so we have to feed her a prescription diet. Sometimes I can hear her stomach growl! She will eat better if I heat it in the microwave! Talk about spoiled!

Speaking of huskies, we have a shepherd/huskie mix....Shaka.....she has one brown eye and the other blue and her disposition is as beautiful as she.
We have always had animals as part of our family and always will. I'll try and post a pic.

Here in Flagler county, we had hail this morning. Of course we're in the NE, but Volusia and further south reported the same on the news.

It's 28o here now up from 24o, and I'm a bit sad that a lot of my brugmansia trees will not make it even though they are covered. As was mentioned above, even with all the recommended safety measures, they just can't take this consistent freeze.

Lori, here's hoping you get settled in soon!

Gracie
