It may take a little time but I'm sure you will come out in the black. I was a 3 pack a day smoker and even though I have been buying everything in sight since May 1st I am in the black. It really depends on how much you were smoking.

The best part for me is to be smoke free. My health has improved a lot since I quit.

I read all these peeps banners and the say I quit smoking x amount of days and I saved x amount of dollars.

If I had a banner it would say I quit smoking 14 days 420 analogs avoided and I'm in the red about 200 dollars.

When you first start vaping there is a larger upfront cost than with analogs.
(Starter kit, extra attys and battys, juice, Passthrough, PCC, etc)
Cigarettes are a day to day purchase (unless you buy cartons), while vaping is more month to month.
Ive been vaping about 1 1/2 months. Ive spent about $400 to do it and Im only about 1/2 way to breaking even.
Though I do have to say I have enough stuff to last me 3 months where I dont have to buy anything else.

My big prob is that there is so many goodies that I want if I dont stop spending I'll never break even. I think this vaping stuff and all the cool toys is even more addicting than smoking LOL. Whats even worse if I ever get all the goodies I want by the time I do there will be new cool gadgets I will want.

Well, oldtechno agrees with EVERYBODY!

I've probably blown (with this next order to Cignot) around $750. But as you can see from my banner below--I'll be in the black in another five weeks.......and I will have enough of 'everything' to last me until the end of spring next year.

A rough guess, even if I have to replace 'everything' at the end of spring next years......I'll still come out hundreds and hundreds (well over a thousand) ahead.

Probably more like $1700 to $1800 ahead.

But I do agree with you

Yeah thats my problem too. I always want to try some other flavor, but I dont want to pay for shipping for just 1 bottle. So I buy a bunch..and oh I should get some extra attys/battys too....$$$

And then there are all the Mods :hubba:

if I dont stop buying stuff Ill never break even.

This is only my first week with vaping but really I've pretty much broken even already. gotten 2 starter kits, 6 bottles of liquid and 30 carts. If I stay on track with the amount I have been using this week then I figure that will last me about 2 more weeks and it cost me $200. I was paying $70 / carton for cigs and smoking minimum a carton a week. So really as long as there are no major equipment problems right away then I'll be saving money after my first 3 weeks are up.

and then I can get that 3rd starter kit I wanted :D

Well to me the health benefits outweigh breaking even.... I;ve already got easily a year supply of juice somewhere around 800ML all kinds of flavors I basically bought from three suppliers listed here who had killer deals and cost me between .26 to .30 per ML.
Though their deals are up they always have more, The ones I bought from are tastyvapor.us goodprophets.com and juicyliquid.com. I highly recommend Tastyvapor.us and goodprophets.com. Juicy liquid is great if you are a diy'er and have lots of supplies and are nice people :) all of these three have been generous in giving extras or advice etc and Id recommend any of them for anybody's first time purchase etc.

getting back to health, I sleep better, feel better, even only being in my first month off analogs, I was smoking 2 packs a day, since getting a 510 I dropped all analogs altogether. If you are determined to get off analogs this is the best way IMHO to go.

I also noticed my pitbull babygirl best dog ever pepper is breathing better. She is always at my side and shes no longer sneezing all the time and making faces when smoke would come her way, she used to run when I would light up a smoke, now she doesn't even notice that im vaping and I can hear the difference in hers and my breathing so I know its much better for me.

LOL, I have spent far more on this than smokes, but I only started a month ago and there are so many wonderfull toys and tastes to experience.

I'm sure that I'll start seeing some savings next year...

...maybe.

With the wife and I both smoking, we had to buy two starter kits, two this, two that, so it took us about 12 weeks before we hit the profit line. I've written down the amount, date and item(s) purchased every time we buy something and it shows we have spent only about half of what we would have if we were still using analogs.

    Somewhere between here and there
I have to agree with ez. The reason I started e-cigs was for health reasons and have noticed a good improvement over the last five months or so. Vaping seems to me to have become almost a hobby instead of a habit. I try very hard not to spend more each month than I was spending on analogs which was about $150 or so. Doing this I have managed to stock up on quite a bit of liquid, extra 510 and 801 attys. I no longer use the standard parts so I have many extra 14500 batteries for my box mods that I use every day. I am wondering where Thyestean is from that the analogs are $70 a carton. Mine were only about $35?

I wanted to stock pile a lot of liq as well until I read a post from a person who said her liq went bad in two weeks. Now I kinda feel stuck between a ock and a hard place in that I would like a good stock of juice but I sure dont want to lose a lot of money cuse it went bad.

The price of cigs varys quite a bit as States and city add taxes to them here its about 4.50 a pack and im in Calif. I read in here that the price of cigs in NY is 10 a pack.
