I am 53 years old and have been smoking since I was about 14 years old.

I smoke at least 2 packs of cigs a day, and so does my wife.

I finally got this thing and I must tell you it's really incredible.

Ive only had one cig today since 11am. This thing is just neat.

I never thought that it would really work but it does. If you take a good long drag off of this it makes your lungs feel just like a cig. I dont know how this thing could possible not be as harmful as a cig because it taste and works just like one.

Just the convinence alone is worth it, no ashes etc.. Awesome.

Thanks Steve..

Danny,

Let me ask you this, what about your wife? Is she using the ecig too? If not try to get her on board.

My wife is on it too and yes Steve we did talk earlier.

My wife is going to be your worst customer, she is sucking on this thing so hard the blue light is going to turn red, i swear hehe..

Well we only ordered one to see what it was like, we have tried everything as you can imagine and have done yourselves. But there is nothing like this thing, it's the best.

Because of our work schedules we are sharing the charger but I'll have two of these babies soon.

Ok, so my progress. I started yesterday at 11 am and only had two cigs all day. This morning during the charge time i picked up the old pipe while waiting for a charge but had a new charge in an hour.

Today was like an examination day to really see what this thing is about so i took apart an atominzer and looked inside and now i understand it.

After puffing all day I am getting the symptoms like I am quitting, taste, sinuses, etc are opening up, so what to i do to counter it, i puff some more, lol and I am still getting the symptoms like i am quitting.. It's just too cool.

I refilled the three atomizers that i am using, two in pocket and one in use, got a full charge and am going to work.

I have no cigs on me and Im going to see if i make it on my eight hour shift without going outside (usually i go out 4 or 5 times).

I am very very confident that this thing is the answer to quitting, i really do. After all of the crap i tried and all of time i waste smoking i really have a feel that i can make it this time.

My sister in law worked at sloan cancer hospital in NY and she has seen many people die in her arms because of lung cancer and she had become close friends with them. She had to quit because watching people die from lung cancer was too much for her to bare, and would be for any of us.

I could go on and on about this and perhaps i will later but have to work in a half hour but believe me, i think i ll be playing my harmonica in a rock band next year again, my goal :)

It's amazing that this thing is only vapor because it fills your lung up just like a real smoke, i just cant get over this f****** thing, it's the best.

Steve, i dont even think you realize how many peoples lives you will save, and i read the idiot talking about profit, tell him to go screw.. lol

Like i said before, if you need a distributor or partner, Im in.

Be back, workie time.

I can't help but smile and shake my head when I read the posts in this forum.

My husband and I are stunned at what a miracle these e-cigs have been for us.

I started 5 weeks ago and haven't had a cig in 2 weeks.
My husband started 2 weeks ago and he's down to about 3 per day.
I smoked for 34 yrs (2.5 packs of ultra-lights per day) and he's smoked for 41 years (1.5 packs of Marlboro Red per day).

The only words I can use are amazed, stunned, shocked and the word thrilled is being used a lot!

You and your wife hang in there. It was a bit hard for some of us to get off them completely but I barely even think about smoking now. It gets MUCH easier and pretty soon you'll just stop smoking.

These e-cigs are truly amazing!!!

Just wanted to hop on the band wagon as well.

When I first heard of e-cigs, I found this forum and I searched for almost 5 hours straight going through reviews. I found a few video reviews of the VK and I was almost sold on the spot. It's been around month now that I have been vaping without smoking any analogs at all.

Thanks to Vapor4life for giving me my lungs back.

Ok, just a little progress report..

I made it though the night without one and Im going to continue on. WOW.

In the middle of the night i needed to come home to get a new battery because it went cold but there was no way i was going to buy some smokes.. hehe

This thing is so good it's got to be bad, i swear, I mean seriously, for this thing to work so well and have no side effects is way beyond my comprehension.

I noticed that even though i know i can just take it out and puff on it, after a short while i just didnt want any which of course is neat.

Every night i used to stop in seven eleven and purchase two packs of an off brand of smokes, im sure the guy orders them for my wife and I but he will think i moved or something.

Yes Im a follower and a very happy guy. To all of the folks that quit cold turkey i can only say you didnt have to suffer so much.

I have epilepsy so Chanix was a problem for me and with all that i read on it and wellbutron (sp) these meds where designed for something else, not to quit smoking.

Lets say for example that someone came out with a pill to help you to completely stop smoking, i mean one that would be the miracle pill, take it once a day and your done, what would it consist of?

First it would definitely have to be a mind altering drug, i mean how else would they make it and if it worked it would certainly alter something else up there, come on, we are not close enough yet to finger the part of the brain that could stop you from smoking and not ruin something else.

Patches on the other hand deliver nicotine but they deliver when they want to and if you dont want a smoke right now your still getting one.

Gum, one piece and i feel like i went to the moon.

Simply put, there is no better, SAFER delivery system available. No one can convince me of this.

At this point in the game i dont see myself quitting smoking, i just dont see it. What i do see however is using these products and keeping up with the best quality my money can buy.

I just hope that in a few months from now we dont hear that these are bad for you, that would be disappointing, but for now Im a vapor king!

My wife and I are absolutely thrilled.

If you are a new comer and are skeptical i want to tell you this, so was i. I never thought that this would give me the feeling that your smoking, i never thought that my lungs would fill up and feel like a cig, but again i was wrong. Order one now..

Bye folks..

High five, feels good dosen't it! I know for alot of people (me included) the transition was a little slower, I think it depends on the PV you buy. I started with the cheapest mini there is and it was terible, I was convinced that vaping was crap, untill I got a 901, got better, but was still not it. Got the 801 and now use my penstyle constantly! and love it, made the transition so much easier. Next for me is the 510, dying to get my hands on the manual switch. I think it is important to remember that it may take some time playing with it, but in the end, no questions, totally worth it! smelling better, breating easier, sinuses and allergies improve, nothing bad to say on my part (except maybe a little addictive in the spending area, always want to try more flavours, new e-cigs...)

Welcome aboard :)
Guess you people get a regular fit of awesomeness too then about these things - I know that still happens to me even now; and I love to read the stories of people coming fresh into that experience. :)

Oh and Danny - it's 15 months ago now that I smoked my last bit of tobacco. And I can tell you that during all that time my health only went up, and never down, once I was through the getting-off-tobacco effects.
You WILL be hearing, from all sides and now but even more in the coming months, that these e-devices are unsafe. You will be bombarded with scare-mongery 'half-truths and half-facts'. Just get to know the backgrounds of those telling you that; also get to know where they get their money and power from (which they don't want to loose) - that will help keeping your head clear while you are deducting how much or little truth lies in their words - and what the real truth is (hint: just keep feeling yourself :) )

Nice to see new people coming in all the time, welcome!

The first time I saw an e-cig Ithought to myself "another gimmick". But after some thought I went back an looked at it some more. I waited for a couple of days and bougt one. I have to say that I was very disappointed with that model. The carts didn't last long the batteries even less. I did a lot of research and found all different types...I got reanimated with the idea. I purchased my 901 with accesories and have not had a regular cigarette since, going on one month. I want to thank all the people in this forum that gave me all the information needed to make a good choice in products and without the waist of money. Now I'm experimenting with flavors, any help on places to get supplies or any tips would be great. Thanks again to everyone.

I don't have my VK yet, but I can tell you a little about my 901.

1) 2-3 hour battery life
2) Short cart life,8-10 good hits before topping off cart, the hits are very good, with lots of vapor.
3) I have gone through 2 atomizers in 2 months ( 901 is a 3 piece design)

I ordered a Vapor King because I am tired of constantly messing with juice and re-filling carts every time I want to vape the equivalent of about one analog

    Hey Danny,

I don't have a VK yet, but I can tell you that I do own a 901, 401, 306a, and a 510 (manual switch). Of the products I own, the 510 blows them all out of the water! I have had it about a week now. Vapor production is unbelievable. Again, I have no idea if it is better than the VK, but it would be worth checking in to. The 901 is a great cig, but there is much better out there. Good luck!

Also, I have been smoke free since Feb 6th 09 after 13 years of smoking 1-2 packs a day of regular Marl menthols.

I looked in at this thread and I had to add my 2c too. I'm 40, and have been smoking since 14. I was a skeptic, too, just like the rest of you. I did research online and mulled over my purchase for weeks. In my surfing around I came to this forum, and I started reading stories from people like me.. people who'd tried to quit, and had given up hope.
I cringed at spending the money to get started in this; I'm a single mom going through tech school at the moment to retrain for a new career path, so money is very tight for me, but I made the decision to go ahead and give it the old college try. I got a 306 kit 1 week and 1 day ago, (Thank you Chris at CigTech for the superb customer service) and in the process of that week I have gone from ~2 packs a day to MAYBE 1 or 2, sometimes even not that if I remember to charge both batts :p

I, like many others, used to plan my life around my analogs.. limiting where I went, scheduling things around smoke times, etc.

I feel better now, I have more energy, even my family has remarked that I'm up and around more, doing more, and so on.

I can honestly say, e-cigs have given me my life back, and I hope those idiots on the hill take the time to honestly LOOK and READ the stories that so many of us members have to tell.

Don't make us go back to all that.. please.

Last night i was at work and it occured to me that the night before i was vaping because i could, in other words i wasn't waiting for my body to say, "ok you need one now", I was just doing it like it was candy.

I immediately stopped and put it in my pocket and decided to stop and wait until i needed it and stop using it like a piece of gum but use it when i needed it.

Of course the thrill of being able to just vape when i want to is just overwhelming, so it's time to really manage this thing and use it only when i need it instead of like candy.

So i waited and tried not to vape and after an hour and a half when i usually go outside to smoke and my body craved one is when i took it out, took 3 or 4 hits and put it back, just enough to satisfy my cravings, much better!!!!

My next craving however occured in only an hour however instead of an hour and a half, so I did like 10 hits or so until i was satisfied and it worked great.

So if you use this only as needed the natural flow of it will evently get your body to cut down on your intake and you wont need so much of it.

My wife on the other hand is smoking it like candy and puffs on the thing like it's a regular cig and actually not waiting for the crave, shes just going at it and with 18 mil of juice she was complaining about being dizzy and she also said she isnt seeing much difference between the vapor and the analogs.

She needs only 6mg and thats what i ll feed her for a while so she doesnt put herself into another anxiety attack, and by puffing so damn much of the thing i know thats what happened.

    Summary:

    1. Don't use it like candy, instead wait for a crave.
    2. If your going to use it constantly, lower the mg on the juice. No need to puff 11mg and up if your going to keep the thing in your mouth and not take it out.
    3. When you do have a crave, puff it until your satisfied completely. Theres no need to shortchange yourself. Thats what its for, right? It's made to eliminate the cravings and satisfy you, not to encourage you to vape until you turn into an anxiety monster from the Lagoon :)

Also if you drink coffee a lot like i do without adding other liquids inbetween, get yourself some Arizona Iced Tea, a 1 liter and suck one of those down during your work shift. You will find it will clean your body from all of those nasty toxins faster than if you just stick with the coffee.

Keep in mind that altough the nicotine is the addictive drug, that is the crave, your body will start to build a ton of energy that your not used to having and you feel much more energy. Don't confuse the extra energy you have as a craving to smoke more, the extra energy is just toxins leaving your body.

The extra energy your getting is just that, use it in your job, cut down on deligating little jobs to people and use the energy to get off your bottom and go do the little jobs yourself until your used to the extra energy.

Your body is cleaning itself naturally, let it happen. Expel your energy, use the time that your used to being outside smoking into completing your work faster, your boss will love it.

Once home and your ready to relax, vaporize yourself until your in a relaxing state of mind, your favorite relaxed feeling just like your used to with an analog. As you puff away and you start relaxing you can think about things and come to realize that no matter how much you puff on this thing, no matter what you do, your extra energy is not going away, only your cravings are.

    Life is good!

Now have a couple of puffs and relax, and know that you will soon be clean of toxins and your body is changing.

If your in facebook and want to talk add me in, same name.

    Off to work.
