I smoked 2 packs a day for 33 years, now I vap quite a bit.

I like 18mg it is a comfortable level for me, I do have some 24mg but don't use it much. I also have 12mg which I am also comfortable with......anyway.

Lets say I am only using 18mg, how many ml per day would be 2 packs, or how long should 10ml last if I were a 2 pack a day and wanted to stay there?

Thanks in advance.

Dickw,

This subject - nicotine absorption, basically, has been the subject of many threads here. You might do a search on 'absorption' or just 'absorb' and find some of them and look them over.

We know how much nicotine is in certain cigarettes - google that - and we know how much nicotine is in eliquids but what we don't know is how each person absorb nicotine either from smoking or vaping. How big of an inhale is there, what is the lung capacity, how is smoke absorbed vs. vapor, what are the other chemicals involved in smoke absorption. We know that ammonia and acid are added to analogs for faster nicotine absorption and yet those chemicals are not present in ejuice. So any proclamation that anyone would make along these lines would be pure speculation and would vary from person to person.

If you really wanted to know - you'd have to go to a doctor that would agree to give blood tests that measured nicotine absorption - for you. That's the only way you would know and then only for the period of the test.

What you should go by is the practical effects of the amount of nicotine in your eliquid and how it satisfies your urge/habit, etc. If 18mg does it for you and 24mg seems to much, go with that. If you can drop to 10mg and perhaps only when the urge is great, top off with a few drops of 18mg then do that. In general if you're looking to drop or maintain nic levels - vape low and top off high when needed.
