I just placed an order for my chuck and I'm a little worried about the custom image. I set it to the specifications listed on the site. 2.85x4.5. My concern is that my final picture looks a lot smaller than the chuck. I understand that this is probably just paranoia but I figure I would run the image by the forum in the hopes that someone would double check it for me. Here is the image. I greatly appreciate any help as I want this chuck to look awesome and not be messed up by my lack of imaging skills.

This is the image that I resized and submitted to be put on my Chuck. It still looks too small to me even though the measurements are correct to the best of my knowledge.

I'm also going to include the original art in case my size is bad and someone is kind enough to fix it for me.

Jeff's other business is printing. Tell him you want a full wrap and he'll take care of it.

You have a bigger problem. Right now the switch is going to be in the middle of Supergirl's forehead. The hole is right in the middle, opposite the seam. There's a template somewhere which I'll find for you. I'm sure the seam can be shifted. Again, the best thing is to talk to Jeff.

Here you go. If you were getting a Little Chuck, you'd just chop 1.5" off the bottom.

Photoshop VS Reality... Here is a template for the CHUCK, the shaded area is what can be realistically viwed without having to rotate it.

Depending on the image, seeing only a slice of it makes it undistinguishable.

So by dropping that LANDSCAPE pic onto a PORTRAIT template needs it to be reduced alot or else all you are going to see is her nose. Or you can reduce it to fit and it will look like below.

Can the button simply be placed on the opposite side of the image? I sent an e-mail explaining that I have no idea what I'm doing. Maybe he'll help me out with it. I have a Zombie theme that I can use if my Supergirl one isn't workable due to her head placement. I don't know much about what a chuck even looks like. Are you saying that if the image was on the opposite side of the button that it would have a seam going through it?

For what a Chuck looks like, check out the http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/thag-built-chuck/58667-bring-pron-newborns-posted-here.html sticky. The top, just above the button, is where the atomizer/cartomizer goes. It's indented which, as someone who has a tendency to flood my cartos, I really appreciate -- the liquid pools there instead of turning the sides (and my hands) into a flavored PG/VG slippery mess. The bottom end screws off for the batteries.

Jeff puts a picture of each Chuck there as he finishes it so when you see yours in the you'll know it's on its way to you.

He is also your best source for help. I know that the instructions he received for this one were "make it as steampunk as you can." And I believe someone posted that for this one he was sent a couple of sample pictures of keyboards and he created the design. And those are two of the ones most in danger of my stealing them if I find out where the owners live.

He won't contact you re your order unless he has a problem/question. But if you e-mail him, he will reply. He's said that if he doesn't, your e-mail probably got lost in the spam but you can also PM him here.

Just one more question. Jeff said that he could work it out and if not he'll contact me. If he does contact me about it, I'll most likely give him my second design.

My new question is, if it is a full wrap that I'm after does my image need to be bigger than 2.85 x 4.5?

Sorry I have so many questions.

What I thought a full wrap was is the difference between these two chucks. One has the picture completely covering the chuck and the other picture is centered. I would like my image to cover the entire chuck and not to be centered. Now that I know what a full wrap actually is I'm wondering if there is a way to note whether the chuck is completely covered as opposed to being centered. I guess I've been confused all along. Does he just do the best he can with the image and center it if he needs to or is having the chuck completely covered a customization option that I did not know about? I swear this is the end of my questions as this is all starting to become more clear.

The image for the one on the bottom was not sized to be wrapped. If your image is sized according to the template that Poeia posted then yours will be completely covered like the top picture. Oh, and the switch doesn't have to be exact opposite of the seam. You can see on my Angels Chuck the bat has the seam down the middle and the switch is just to the right.

The difference between the two Chucks is that the Little Chuck is 1.5 inches shorter.

Houdini, I assume you and Jeff discussed the seam/button replacement on that as the default is "button opposite seam."

My original picture had some smushy, black junk on the top and bottom. I had the height-width ratio approximately right but, because I didn't know exactly how much Jeff would have to crop to get rid of that, the ratio was going to be off a bit. The advantage to using a painting by a surrealist is that I told Jeff to feel free to warp it to make it fit. You can't tell the difference.
