I need a tutorial on vaping with mechanical mods

You could cycle batteries between the Mech and maybe a VV mod? When the quality with the mech goes down, put it into a VV like the provari to drain it the rest of the way...

If you drain a lithium battery to 0 it is junk...so you know...dont drain them below 2.5....and yes if you use an 18650 you'll have 3.7 volts, if you stack 18350's you'll have like 8.4 or so when fully charged, but you cant drain the pair lower than 5 volts etc, etc....the lower your ohms are, the hotter vape you will get...this is called "watts"...grab an ohm law calulator app from your phone or online and play with it a little...i like mine around 10, but some juices burn at this temp, and i have to run those ones lower...another thing you can do is play with your coil while it's on the ohm checker...spread it out and squeeze it closer and such, you'll teach yourself how to fine tune them :) it's just a learning curve, and on the bright side, the coil and wick for rba's is dirt cheap, so it is a cheap lesson! Good Luck!

ok, i have a question. i am awaiting the arrival of my first mech mod.

until i buy, try, build and get into sub-ohm RBA's can't i just use a bottom coil clearo like the protank or T3 or Evod?

with a 2.2 ohm head
3.7v-4.2v/2.2ohm = 6.2w-8.0w

with a 2.5 ohm head
3.7v-4.2v/2.5ohm = 5.5w-7.3w

with a 1.8 ohm head
3.7v-4.2v/1.8ohm = 7.6w-9.8w

wouldn't this work just fine or am i not understanding something? obviously the 1.8ohm head should give the best cloud...

another question... i just bought some AW IMR 18350 batteries. i know those will work. my question is about my 18650 batteries that came in kits. my zmax v3, which is in route to me, comes with IMR, but the 18650's that came with my Lavatube are ICR. Should I qvoid using the ICR's in a mech mod or are they ok?

thanks from a mech mod newbie

So are you having a contest with your buddies to see who can produce the biggest cloud? You should tailor your ohms toget the best taste out of the juice you are vaping...build a 1 ohm coil in a evod and you'll have a huge cloud of nasty burnt stuff...1.8 - 2.0 is probably the best taste, but less cloud.....another "cloud factor" is the VG content of your juice, more VG = more cloud...but again more VG = less taste as well (unless you make your own juice) good luck.

I've found the best coils for me are either 36 or 34g twisted kanthal. Just rebuilt a protank with twisted 34g at 1.5ohm and works great on my mech. I just like the look and feel of bottom button mechs and haven't bothered with SLR coils.

I just need to find a place selling the smoke tech magneto love the look of that one.
