There are alot of great tutorials on youtube if you search for DIY e liquid. As far as where are good sites to get started, I highly recommend OneStopDIYshop.com and MyFreedomSmokes.com as far as a newbie that needs different things and wants to order from one site initially and not pay too much on shipping as far as ordering from multiple sites. Later once you get started you can order stuff on sale at different sites. I also usually get my flavorings from Perfumers Apprentice. And you can download the ejuicemeup calculator if you google it. There are also many tutorials on youtube on how to use it. Good luck! It's really very easy to DIY so don't let all the hype scare you off :)

I need some tips on getting started as well. It is all very overwhelming.

Basically I want to end up with a 18mg vapeable liquid.

Should I get VG nice liquid? PG nic Liquid? Don't know where to start, and to top it off my favorite juice is Boba's Bounty which is pretty much impossible to replicate.

If I want to make an 18mg vapeable liquid that will go well with KGO batteries and Boge LR Cartomizers, what would be a good recipe to start with ?

Get the eJuice me up calculator and plugin your ingredients. I buy 100mg nic and immediately dilute to 50mg. I plugin 50mg vg nic into the app, plugin my desired pg/vg percentage, plugin my desired nic level (12mg), and it tells you how much of the 50mg vg nic, pure pg, pure vg, to mix together. I do it with syringes. Then I add the flavoring!

Do a search for the user named "Hoosier" and read his blog posts. He'll go into detail enough to get you started.

eJuice Me Up is great and I recommend it. Punch in your starting nic level, your target nic level, you're batch amount, your PG to VG ratio, your flavors and then hit "Calculate" and it'll do the math for you.

But there's more to it than that. You need the equipment, too.

-1ml and 5ml syringes are a must. If you're going to make large batches, then grab up a 10 ml syringe or what have you. Try to avoid drops if you can as they aren't terribly precise.

-Gloves. You need them. Nicotine is a poison. Treat it with the utmost respect and safety.

-Make sure you have everything laid out and ready in a clean working environment with plenty of space. I will be very upset if I hear that someone spilled their nicotine at all, let alone all over the carpet, because they didn't have the room to work.

-rags/towels. I use disposable shop towels from Wal-Mart. They're good and soak it all up. I understand, sometimes accidents happen. Shoot, I just dumped half a bottle of PG the other day because the lid wasn't on it all the way. But again, see above about the nicotine.

There is plenty more, but Hoosier's blog will cover it all. I'll go find it and link it for you folks.

There are TONS of places to get what you need. One Stop DIY Shop is one of my personal favorites, but it's by no means the only place to go. MadVapes and High Desert Ecigs are also top notch, just to name a few. I personally get my nic from Wizard Labs.

EDIT: I found it. Read this.

I'm still new to DIY but love it. I would also suggest carefully taking notes. I have a small notebook I use. I also have recently taken to putting together an e-liquid recipe using E-Juice me up and then typing it into a text file. This is useful if you want to try more than one recipe when mixing. I print out the file and have it prominently displayed when I mix. I list any and all adjustments (like +2 cotton candy) using an ink pen if I alter from my recipe during mixing.

When I'm done mixing if I adjust further I show the adjustments on my text file. When I got the recipe where I like it I copy and paste the text file into a new folder I call "keepers" and edit the file to show adjustments and save.

Nothing could be more frustrating than creating your all day I love it it nails it e-liquid and not having a record of what you did.
