I have the GUS 22 Kiss v1. It does not have the faux hybrid top cap. I don't remember seeing any with that type of topper while purusing their site... They are very well made and beautiful. If you don't have to, just say no to drilling at this time...

The spring is in the bottom battery cap, where the fire button is, if I'm not mistaken. I'm not sure I'm following your drift, Zut. But as I said, I've never seen a Gus in real life.

@Baditude @Bad Ninja (totally forgot the @thing) I am getting this mod delivered - Core v2 G22-18650 GUS Battery case matte.
I will not be using it for clouds. Specifically 1.3 ohm builds and like squapes and phenomenons for roundabout 11-14 watts. The mod has a fused pole built in and I'm using safe 25r and vtc4 batts. Do you recommend I still drill vent holes in the top? Thanks

on the Baditude and Bad Ninja call out , i got their work numbers , home phone , Spouse's phone but most importantly the phone next to their bed because i often wake up at 4:00 am and can't sleep so having these gentlemen to talk to in the early morning hours is perfect for me.

Yup, I agree, no room to vent to the hole in the fire button. I'd personally have this mod drill pressed. But that's just my Thanks for the pics, that helped make my decision.

Don't know how those utube links work. This is a guy Quorax showing the top of the Lord I think, but a lot of the Gus's are similar. At 4.20 he shows the top cap and it does have a fused pole with a spring. Your confusing me even more now though I think the button might have a ball bearing or possibly another spring inside. Its on the plane from Greece atm so I can't tell you.

OK, so the Gus isn't a direct battery or hybrid mod.

I'd still be concerned about the tight quarters around the battery, which would prevent the escape of gas to the vent hole in the bottom. It might as well not have any vent holes. You're only safety feature is the fuse, which is probably more than most mechs have.

One thing to check once you get the mod. Blow into the top of the mod, and if you can easily blow air past the battery out through the fire button's hole, you're probably ok.

To drill or not to drill? The choice is yours alone, Zut.

A Gus is a thing of beauty. If I had the money, I would buy one tomorrow. If you are worried, use fuse or kick. Don't ruin the investment value for your children.

Hey @sparkky1 . I know your not my Dr but just to explain why I'm always posting messages when I get worried. I got some issues because of an injury. A severe tbi and I'm lucky to be walking and talking. I'm better now but I've gotten really paranoid. Even when I do my research I'm always second guessing myself. A little too deep for a frothy forum discussion but just thought I'd explain. That's why I'm vaping. Best part of the whole thing!
