I need help with a geekvape 521

I bought a geekvape 521 and I tested at the shop with my phenomenon. Perfect.
Brought it home and put the little bambino that I bought (I don't know why I got it) on it to build. The 510 protrudes so much and I guess it's pushed the 510 connector down and none of my good attys make contact now. They all register as "non" and if I unscrew the pin enough then I get a reading but the pin is so loose and the readings are all over the place and that's no good.

Anyone got one? Had the same problem? How did you deal with it?
Atm I've taken the bottom off in an attempt to push and reposition the connector but no luck.

Pins used to sink into 510's a lot in the good ol' days and you could raise them again by using a tiny flat headed screwdriver. Any chance that could work?

No problems with mine.

Maybe put an eGo adapter on it to see if you can get connection that way?

yup , a little pry on 1 side , then a little pry on the other side slowly working its way up

Lol, prying with the flathead has worked for now but the readings still a little shaky.

Problem being that it will make its way down again. I need to glue this up somehow now.

If it was me I would give it a small burst with WD-40 and see if that frees it up. Sounds like maybe a friction problem.

Ime, oils aren't always the best lubricant for some sealing materials. Don't know what the 521 uses on it's 510 though.

There's always the option of bringing it back to the shop for replacement if the problem persists. Just go in with tanks that cannot be read on it to demonstrate the issue. The reason for a 521 tab is to make your life easier, not complicate it.

Sounds like the spring has failed on the 510 pin.
Might be able to put a very small o-ring under it.
Those double ended screw drivers, included with some attys, have o-rings that might work.

An O-ring, as puffon suggested, might make the contact more secure.

What might also work (but I get the feeling might be a little beyond your abilities/materials at hand) is a blob of carefully applied solder under the pin to secure it and to make better contact.https://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/members/puffon.225478/
