So I had my I branded ego c twist 650 and all was well went to my brick and mortar store today to pick up so juice and talking with the dude about how often I need to charge he convinced me to pick up an ego c twist 1000 and he swapped what ever heads in my unknown to me clearomizer to a 2.4 and I picked up four more to be safe! Now my whole set up taste burnt! I tried cleaning, I replaced the two new heads with two others and same burnt plastic taste I've tried pulling up the silicone piece and anything else I could try! Nothing is working just same nasty taste.. So I'm deciding I need a decent tank I already had two replaced because for leaks and I need to upgrade. So for now I need tips on how to fix the burnt taste if at all possible so I'm not SOS for the time being and I also would like links to clearomizers or any type of tank that fits these batteries. Preferably something leak free and as hassle free as possible. I ask for links because idk what online places to trust and most importantly what tanks I should be looking at. All help is much appreciated

Wow I was expecting such rapid response you guys are awesome... I've messed with it all over the the settings I will try setting to lowest and working up and let you guys know how that goes... I've checked the little rubber piece I don't think it's cutting it off unless the mouth piece would push it down I was letting that do the deciding

Think they meant keep stepping it up a little until it's where you want it but before the voltage is high enough to burn the wick. With my Ego V I think I was running around 4.2 volts on my CE5 if that helps any and didn't need to turn it up past that. But that was with a head that I rebuilt myself and I'm not sure what the ohm rating was on the one I cannibalized to make it, so your experience may vary.

You can take it apart and pull the rubber piece off that I talked about and see if its burnt, that's the only way I know to tell for sure. Mine looked like a melted black blob when I replaced it. It shouldn't matter how long you puff on it with the lower setting as long as the wick is staying wet. I just keep turning mine up until it's the right taste or if I get a bit of a burnt taste I'll step it down. On my T2 I can turn it up to 4.5-4.8 as long as I tilt it every now and then, my T3 (bottom coil) I turn up to 5.0 sometimes. But those are all with 2.5 ohm rating, I think. The 1.8s you won't be able to turn up very high if I understand correctly.

Since we're on the topic - I got my first Twist today, and I'm 99% sure it's a defect.
Let me know if I'm an idiot and missed something.
I have the OPPOSITE problem: NO vapor, til I turn it ALL the way up to maximum voltage, then it vapes like maybe it's getting 2.5 volts.

- It's fully charged. Charged it before use, and it still shows fully charged.
- Yes, I turned it on. :)
- Yes, I'm turning it the right way. NO vapor at 3.2, a HINT at 4, and at 4.8 a teeeeeny bit of vapor, but it's not enough to "sizzle or crackle" the juice even a little...
- Same result with FOUR different clearos - all 4 working perfectly on other batteries

So - I've got a dud, right?

Oh - and unfortunately, no multimeter to check the thing with.
