I picked up the eGo-c Vision kit and a F-16 tank. I was told that the tank center was cheaper than replacing the Vision clearomizers. The clearomizers are good but the cost moved me to the larger tank. I've found through trail and error that when refilling I fill the tank and put the top back on just to form a seal then turn it to the side and finish pushing the cap on. I found that doing this prevents leaking out the bottom of the tank. I guess this is because when you put the top on with the liquid at the bottom of the tank it forces the liquid out. My battery lasted two days with the clearomizers and only about a day and a half with the tank on. Being that I'm new to this (steady for two weeks with no other smokey treats) I just want to know if there's something better and are there bigger batteries that last longer. Now I'm fine with what I've got just wondering if there's something better.

You've got a good setup with the carto/tank. Cartomizer is the "tank center" that acts as a heating element. It feeds juice through the holes on the side.

For consideration, you could pick up one of these Triple V Tank Tool to help you refill the tank. It'll save wear and tear in the o-rings of your tank (one reason why a tank would leak).

If you're looking for upgrades, there's always an eGo Twist battery. Same form factor as the one you're using, but offers variable voltage option. That'll let you fine tune your vape by adjusting the output voltage to match the resistance of your cartomizer (the tank center).

Battery life not only dependent on the amount vaped but, more importantly, the ohms of the delivery device. If you enjoyed using the clearos the logical step would've have been a Vision Mini Vivi Nova 2.0 ml. Operating costs for me are 15 cents per week. New heads cost $1.50 and are lasting 10 weeks.
As for upgrading either the Spinner or Twist. I own both and prefer the Spinner- larger 1300 mah battery, easier to turn knurled voltage dial and visible voltage markings.
Beyond that there's the Vamo VV/ VW Tube Mod- $37 incl delivery for the Stainless Steel Tube only from VB in China. Be forewarned it's VERY large but I own and LOVE it.

I would suggest not taking the top of the tank off to refill. Because you will pressurize the tank when you push the cap back in. Just slide the carto up (or down) to refill.

"Better" is nothing more than "personal preference", but there are a lot of things that are "different". I choose to enjoy them all for what they are.

there is ALWAYS something better when it comes to vaping.
I prefer the clearomizers to the cartos. Very easy to re-fill and no complaints about leaking. You can find them on line for $5.00 or less. You may even splurge a little and go for the vivi nova tanks or similar, about $10 to $20, replaceable/rebuildable coils and very simple to use.

You have the typical new person kit so there is nothing wrong with how you started. But there are quite a few better models than an ego. When you are ready to upgrade, which means going variable, my suggestion is to move away from the eGo options and go variable wattage. eGo's limit what you can use with them. When that time comes, I would look at models like the Zmax or the Vamo which are both variable wattage instead of variable voltage. And instead of forcing you to buy over-priced proprietary batteries like the eGo models do, models like the Vamo have inexpensive batteries that are not proprietary.

Welcome to ECF and good luck

Clearomizers are great, stick to Kanger brand or Vivi novas (Kanger T2 is highly recommended). If you're looking for something more substantial like a Vamo, you will get better battery life and variable power which are very nice in my opinion. The benefits easily beat buying new eGo batteries, keep the ones you currently have as a backup or on-the-go solution because a vamo is enormous and heavy.

I bought this battery and I am very happy with it - Joyetech eGo-T Upgrade 18650 Battery MOD, mine's got a 2600Mah Battery though, can go quite a while without having to recharge the battery. If you are looking for longer battery life I would definitely reccomend it. Keep in mind it is quite a bit bigger than your Ego-C's. Also, I would recommend the Vivi Nova tanks -they're awesome.

I would stay away from the Kanger T3/MT3, I have one - they give good flavor but it leaks like hell if you've got a thin eliquid. This can be fixed by adding extra wicks to the coil - but thats a bit of effort and if you're simply looking for a tank that works - no fuss - the Vivi Nova is your tank. :)

I found the Mini Vivi 510's to be leak happy because the 510 pressed in connection on the bottom is not part of the actual housing and the flimsy rubber gasket between the 510 bottom and the tank body is weak sauce.

I have 5 Kanger T3's and while they do leak a bit with thin juice they do not give burnt hits and they don't require constant flipping/rolling to wet the wick.

Replacing or adding wicking is simple but really only necessary with heavy VG or PG, if you use a 50/50 blend you really solve that issue.

If you use heavy PG then you need to add a wick to slow it down, if you use heavy VG then you need to pull a wick to allow it to flow....

And these wicks are flavor wicks that sit on top the coil so they are easy to remove and add, you don't even mess with the coil wick at all.

Thanx, I'll give the 50/50 blend a try in my MT3, I was really dissapointed when it leaked since it gives really good flavor compared to the top-wicked Clearo's.

Better is in the eye of a beholder. :D

Since you already have an eGo kit, I'd add a 1300 mAh Vision Spinner for 3 reasons: it offers variable voltage; it's the highest capacity eGo class battery atm, and it's compatible with your kit.

Boge F16 is a nice tank--I have the F15 and I like it alot. I also like Kanger bottom and top coil changeable clearos. Give them a try; they hold plenty of eliquid, are easy to use and work well, IMO.

    Good luck!

I've used all the Kangers T2, T3, MT3, Evod, Pro Tank. Many others too in the past: Vivi Nova, Mini Vivi Nova, CE2, CE3

For your needs the Kanger EVOD would be best. It hits better then most all the others, does not leak, easy to fill and to clean.

As others have mentioned the 1300 mah Vision Spinner is a good buy and has decent battery life in between charges.

Exhale vapors has great prices on Spinners....$22 for 1300 Mah

Thank you everybody! This is a great and informative forum. I did go out and buy a 1300 spinner and will be testing it for battery life for my vaping style. I do have the F-16 polly tank and since buying a refilling tool I have no problems with leaks. Once again thanks everyone for all of your help.

also if anyone hasnt mentioned this already, this tool works very well for filling carto tanks:
    StainlessDCT Refilling Tool

it has 2 holes at the bottom, just make sure you angle it so that it fills through one hole and lets air out the other, i've found that if you don't you just end up overflowing that funnel, which makes sense since you're replacing the air inside a sealed container with liquid, the air needs to go somewhere...

Thanks forg1vn I did pick on of these up when I went out of town to another vape shop. They even had a steampunk there it looked bad azz. They also had a very large assortment of flavors. Kokomo Pure Vapors is the name of the place very nice place for a hole in the wall. Small shop and they let you sample any flavor and mix your flavor for you in house. I'll be going back there often.
