Hey guys, Im new to posting here, but have been viewing for quite some time now.
I am doing some research on different aspects of vapes (mostly mech mods, but also regular battery)

I would love to get as many opinions as possible about what you believe is a necessity on a vape. Also, ANYTHING that you think should be added on to them.
I am looking for pretty much all your opinions on features/aspects that you love on a vape or think is needed of a vape.

I thank you guys VERY much,
P.S. - since im new, I had to post this thread, hope its correct and gets enough attention. =]

The reason for this will be revealed very soon, and I assure you, you want to see it =]

for me a battery mod has to fit atleast the 2 major batteries we use 18650, 18350 would be nice if all mods accepted button tops and protected cells some mods don't. Has to be good threaded, and have smooth throw in the fire button. floating pin connection or adjustable

Atomizers should all have adjustable airflow same size length 510 connection or an adjustable pin

What I need in a vape is Flavor lots of it and vapor to fill my lungs

I'm more of a regulated mod fan so I'm loving the idea of a regulated mod that does not use PWM something like a provari, MVP or a DNA chip. That let's you subohm to about 0.5 ohm up to 6 V on VV or crank the power from 4W-30W. Also come with a 510 and ego connection Ergonomic- fitting in the hand with an easily accessible trigger and menu to work with. And durable enough to go anywhere and take any beating that you can give it. Really - a high end build quality with versatility and durability at an affordable price but non- sacrificial- Hence truthfully priced appropriately.

I think you just described the new EVic Supreme. $150 and available now. Check it out.

Whether mech or regulated mod, build quality is most important to me. I don't want to fix things, or replace them often when they break.

For mechs, I look at venting and a button that's easy to use. I would rather have separate tubes than a telescoping mod. And a locking ring that does not stick.

For regulated mods, I prefer removable batteries. Doesn't use the 33.3 chip from China.

Lol- I have,
Every joyetech product I've owned should come with a fragile label. My ecab lasted 3 days before the head broke off.
Not to mention I haven't been able to see the output signal yet.

Understood. I've been pretty happy with my original eVic, and have been hearing good things about the build quality of the supreme, but I'm pretty sure we'll have a definitive answer very soon. Pbusardo's site has said "currently vaping: eVic Supreme" for several days now, so I'm guessing the review will be up any minute now.

That said, I went with a Provari yesterday when my vape budget came in because of the same concerns. I want to see some tests and usage before I jump.

I see no reason to jump honestly. I use a provari with either an artemus black kayfun or ehpro kayfun V2- both with dual coils at 1ohm and couldn't be happier. I've run it over and beat it half to hell and it keeps on ticking.
I've tried a Hana dna30 and really liked it; allot actually, i just don't like the idea of spending the same amount or more money on a mod that hasn't been time tested like the provari has.
Maybe down the road but for now I'll stick with what's been proven to me do me reliable without a fault. I am looking to get my girl on a nice
Mod, though, she's been using my MVP which was my backup so we shall see what she wants to try; I just wanna keep her on that straight DC output and something durable

I've got one reason - I want to be able to push high wattage through my dripper every once in a while without having to mess with mechs. That said, pretty sure the Provari & Kayfun will be my rig 90% of the time.

I thought the MVP had a pretty flat voltage signal? Did I misunderstand that?

No, you're correct it does put out a flat signal. The MVP2 is a great device! I thinks it's the best thing out there at its price point, hands down. The only reason we were looking for her to get something different is because it was my backup I want her to have something that she picked out. May very well end up being another mvp2 it'll just be one of the more "feminin" looking ones. I like my gear to be on the utilitarian side as far as appearances go; not to mention, there's something different about using a device that you picked rather than a hand me down. She's done well with the quit smoking thing and I wanna do what i can to help keep her that way. Plus the MVP is amost a year old now; and, if the battery goes kaput so does the unit. At least with another regulated mod we can just swap out the battery.
And wattage is of no interest to either of us- we don't drip, just not out thing but if we did I would definitely be looking more at the DNA or SX chipsets.

Ah, that makes a lot more sense. I thought you were saying you wanted to get her something that had a flat signal (because the MVP didn't). I hope you guys find something she loves.

I don't know much about the SX chipsets, but I like the eVic over the DNA on paper for 2 reasons. First, I really like my original eVic. And second, the ability to down-regulate voltage. I drip mostly to test DIY flavors or because I'm in the mood to change it up quickly - a couple puffs of this flavor, and then a couple puffs of the next. Because different juices like such a wide variety of power, I'd like to be able to go lower, too, just by turning a dial instead of putting the topper on a different device.
