Try a Ego pass thru with a vivinova tank with some spare wicks and a bottle of juice. Probably around $60. But great start. The only bad thing about it is that the vivinova might be overshadowing the ego but it is a great way to start. I started my friend off at that and he loved it.

Nice setup you have recomended, but he has already picked up a evic and needed help with his carto tank this time.

Ouch! That's like walking into an ice cream shop and asking what the best flavor would be for someone who had never eaten ice cream before. My answer to that would be, "Vanilla, of course." And that is what I've been vaping since January of 2012. I have tried a lot of other juices but I've been on a quest for the best this whole time.

Okay, this question has led me to realize that my three favorite ice cream flavors are in my current stash of 23 bottles of juice (4 vanilla, 2 chocolate, and 2 cherry) and I'm still looking for a GREAT clove juice. My Boba's Bounty is one fill away from empty but the site that sells it is down so I can't order more...drats!

I understand about the delay. You'll get used to it. Also, you don't need to press the button at the exact moment it makes contact with your mouth. If you press the button 1 second early, your coil will be nice and hot by the time you start your draw.

For the 10 second draw limit, I think that is a common safety feature for all electronic mods and it's quite long. There's no standard length of time for a draw but 4 to 6 seconds seems about right to me. If you find that you're not getting enough from your vape after 10 seconds, it probably means you should turn up the wattage. What wattage are you using?

Hard to explain it concisely. On the evic, it will be better for you to only look at watts for now. 5.1 is lowish and won't give you a lot of satisfaction. Your sweet spot will probably be somewhere between 6 and 8. Turn it up a little and vape for a bit. If it gets better, dial it up again. If the taste starts to get a bit burned, dial it back down. Once you find what works, you probably won't need to change it again for this atomizer and this e-liquid.

It seems like every time I turn the evic off and on the ohms get higher. It's now at 3.5. Could the evic be having problems? I am going to go buy a new carto and then turn the watts up to 6-8!
