Quick breakdown...I had just flown into JFK this morning from Burbank. I had collected my luggage, and was waiting at the curb for my ride. Jonesing for a quick vape after the long flight, I pulled out my eVic / Protank, went to take a pull, and it was a little flooded. The Protank has never flooded on me before, so I chalk it up to the increased cabin pressure on the plane pushing some juice into the air shaft; no biggie. So anyway, when I occasionally get some condensation build up in the protank, I normally just give my eVic a flick or two from the battery end, and the condensation just "spits" out of the mouthpiece. Ive done this one hundred times without issue.
That said, this morning I give it a little flick, and the top of the control head along with my Protank attached separates from the eVic and goes smashing into the concrete sidewalk. I felt like such an idiot as several other travelers saw this happen. The Protank shattered on contact.
So I was just curious, it looks like the top of the control head (the part with the atomizer connection threads) is simply glued to the translucent tube which covers the LED screen. I would like to glue it back together, as I dont want to drop any cash on a new head. The thing is, I will be gluing metal to plastic.
Has anyone done this fix before? What kind of glue does Joye use during assembly? I want to make sure the bond is strong so I dont lose another Protank. I wont be flicking anymore!
Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!
