I ran into a perfect storm of failures. The mini-USB charging port on my Darwin broke, and both batteries for my provari are dead and won't take a charge. I'm leaving for a 4-day family thanksgiving gathering on Wed. afternoon and I need batteries for the provari before then. I can't survive the road trip without a working ecig.

Does anybody know of any retail stores in NJ that carry high-drain 18650s? Failing that, does anybody know any online shops that have them in stock (lighthound is out) and will overnight a pair? Failing that, does anybody in NJ have a battery or two they'd be willing to sell me for a hefty profit? I'm desperate, and money is no object.

The cable modem at work was malfunctioning recently. It's one that handles both telephone and internet and has a built in battery back up. I had to pull the battery to reset it. I found a BDL IMR 18650 inside. BDL's are not the top performers in the IMR High Drain 18650 category, but they do pretty good.

I stopped by the cable company to pay my personal bill and asked to talk to the equipment guy. Long story short: The cable company sold me a pair of 18650s for 18 bucks.

Optimum operates in NY and NJ. That might be worth a shot.

maybe it's the charger and not the batteries. kinda weird they'd both dye at once:unsure:
Nope, charger's good. I measured and the batteries are coming out of the charger at 4.2V, but they drop down to 3V after only a few puffs.

I get mine's from RTD since they have one of the best prices I've seen for AW IMR's:

RTDVAPOR.com
According to their site, they're on vacation until tomorrow. I need these by tomorrow.
