I was vaping 14hrs plus a day for several months...and finally found some juices I really loved....just odd that this came about out of the blue. I would have figured if I had a problem with PG that it would have shown up earlier.

It would not surprise me too much that irritation leading to what you are experiencing could develop over some time. Allergies certainly are like that. And symptoms don`t always match exactly.

If you do try glycerin and it`s too thick to wick properly, add a couple of drops of water at a time until it is thin enough. It will not take much. Tap water will do it for a tankful. I would use distilled water for longer term thinning.

Well guys, I really appreciate all your feedback. I stopped at my local ( like 2 blocks away!) Vape store, Vapornine ( A ECF vendor) and they didnt have any pure VG juice...but they thought it might be nicotine...so i tested out several juices in varying strengths....no difference...so its not the nic. Went to the drug store and picked up some VG...NO PROBLEMS! its the flippin PG!!! gonna try mixing various strengths tonight and see if I can tolerate any PG...

Good to hear you solved the mystery bluesbishop :2cool:

Well back on Vaping!! I had several botttle of higher nic juice...I had some 28mg 70/30 blend that I cut in half with VG... brought down the nic levels to what I nearly vape ( around 12mg is normal for me...much more than that i get buzzed! LOL) and been Vaping all day! Went out amd bough a new tank and another eGo twist from my local vape shop ( Vapornine which is local here in Jacksonville just opened a new shop...New Leaf Vapor company...and the store is awesome!....I'm hoping the carry all the products they have there at Vapor nine, becuase they are walking distance!) and haven't had a problem!!

Think I'm gonna buy a new mod tonight!!! Looking at the Vamo V2 or Tesla....leaning towards the Tesla...but that's a different thread!!
I really appreciate all the help and support!! I don't post much (there is way too much to read to be posting all the time!) But really appreciate the great community we have here!!

Try 100% VG no nic no flavor.
You won't prefer it for a daily vape but it will let you know if the problem is associated with PG. Then try VG nic juice at your normal mg level...

Troubleshoot the problem by examining the symptoms and eliminating the possibilities.

1 Everything was fine.
2 all of a sudden it isn't fine any more.
3 Your juice went bad or got contaminated, or you developed a sensitivity to PG.
4 Test to see if it is your normal stock juice, test to see if it is PG.

Did this all of a sudden come on in the middle of a bottle that had no ill effects at first? Or did this come on when opening a new bottle of the "same-ol-juice"? (Could be way too high in nic or other problem...)

Edit: Guess I should have read through before posting lol.

I found myself intolerant to PG from the start, and the process of figuring that out was the main reason I started DIY juice. I try to pick strong PG-based flavorings, so that I don't have much PG in my juice. But, I can typically handle up to 15% PG without any major problems.

There are also alcohol-based flavorings. They tend to be quite strong, which is a good thing, since I find that more than a few drops per 10ml tends to be caustic to me.

I'd also recommend getting some distilled water to help thin VG with, whether store-bought juices or DIY.

Glad to see you worked it out. Good luck!

Just a quick update:

Have to sing praises (again) for ( bcordell70 ) Dark City Vapors e-juices!!!

I had LOVED Hillbilly heaven and Triple V....they had been my heaviest rotation juices....but after recently developing a allergy to PG.( thanks to everyone in this thread who helped me find that out!!) ...I thought I may never vape again!!

Luckily my roommate Vapes too and loves Bill's juices...so she got all of my old flavors .( along with my other fav vendor..Ahlusions !)......I ordered flavors from Bill in a heavy VG ratio..(80/20 VG/PG).....and WOW!!!! Killer!! I was concerned that the flavor wouldn't be there....I was WRONG...the flavor is there is SPADES!!

IMHO.....out of all of our vendors...( and I have tried ALL of the top rated ECF vendors)....nobody can compare to Bill on prices, flavor, customer service and speed of shipping...Simply the BEST out there!!!!!!!!!!!

Back to vaping...no issues...and enjoying it more than ever!! time for a new MOD!!!

Anyone who is completely against vg doesnt know what they are talking about. PG is likely to cause minimal allergies in some people and it generally tastes cheap. I keep some PG as backup should I run out of the good stuff but thats all.

Order from alien visions and you will be all set. The difference between PG and VG for me is like comparing school cafeteria fish sticks to gourmet lobster.
