Hey there guys. I started vaping about a year ago. My first kit was the sidesho starter's kit from Modern Vapor. I was very disappointed by that so I decided to move on to something bigger and better. After some months I ordered the screwdriver MKII from TW. A good device I must say but unfortunately it is not good for me now as I need to replace the atties every now and then and the vapour I'm getting is not very satisfying. For about a month now I have been looking for the best ecig/mod to suit my needs but instead of deciding I got more confused. I read a lot of good things about the halo g6/volt but as I heard from more experienced vapers no ecig is better than a mod, so I started looking for a good mod. I read all the guides from DonDaBoomVape along with many reviews from Grimm Green and so on. The budget I am willing to spend on a device is up to 100 dollars including batteries, atties, charger and shipping (I live in Cyprus xD). I don't mind if it's a box mod or a tube, an ecig or not. I just want something that can perform good without the need of frequent repairs/replacements (that counts also about atties/cartomizers). I know this sounds a bit weird but I don't want my nonthly vape to cost more than smoking did as I only used to smoke a pack of rolling tobacco per week (about 10 dollars per week) and up to now I spent more than 300 dollars on kits, juices and repairs and I'm still not satisfied with my experience.

P.S. The thing is that I'm still a student and therefore my budget is a bit low as I'm still using my parents' money. That's why I want to get a good kit so I don't have to waste more money in the next few months/year.

Thanks for your time! :)

So... I am going with.. You want something simple and reliable?
There is what I would suggest:
A big battery manual mod (the less wires and electronics the better :) )

Silver bullet will be my suggestion. You can get a used one at a very good deal. They are very simple, yet reliable and require virtually no maintenance... Well you can keep shining it up if you want, but do not have to :)

Batteries pick a mod which will allow you to use a bigger battery and options. Like the SB I mentioned before a mod with an 18650 battery is a great pick. Long lasting and numerous high quality batteries are available in that size. AW is one of the best brands. Does cost a bit of $, but you always get what you pay for. Most 18650 mods will allow you to use them at 6v. You can place to cr123 3v batteries for "6 volt" vaping.

Atties, lots of brands and makes out there. Some are better some are worse. I am not sure which you can get in your area but try sticking to authentic Joye atties. Cartomizers, boge brand would be my pick.

Tanks/feeders... A lot of them out there. Cheap, expensive, metal, "plastic". The best bang for the buck that I have found so far is the "Liquinator" from vaporescence. Check Grim's review on that one. It is affordably priced and would be my first suggestion as far as tanks go. With an LR carto and an 18650 battery you will get a long span of happy vaping :) But once again I am not sure which items are easily available in your region.

All is IMHO, so no one knock on me! LOL
I know this could be a bunch of confusing info, but keep on asking questions and doing research, thats the only way to success! :)

No problem!
The way to get one at a good deal is to keep an eye on classifieds. Classifieds and swaps

Make sure you have a set up paypal account and the seller is willing to ship over seas. US mail international shipping is usually under $15. And act quick if you see something for sale, good deals end quick!

I sold one of mine a long time ago for $50 :) Keep an eye on the forums!

PS you do not need to hunt for a kit. I am sure you can find a good charger sold closer to home. Ultrifire chargers are a good idea. Ultrafire wf-188 would be my advice. Very flexible charger and you can charge many different sizes and voltages (both 3.7 and 3 volt)

For batteries, try getting the AW brand. They have great 2600 and 2900 mah 18650s. (mah is capacity aka how much juice it can hold)

Get a KR808D-1 kit from (myvaporstore=$32.50, even cheaper from China, just gotta wait forever for shipping) and get some prefilled cartomizers for it (cheap=<$8 for a 5pk). That's less than 20 bucks/month. Then save and try juices with blank cartos until you find a few flavors you REALLY like and get only those instead of the prefilled.

Check out the E-Power, the whole thing can be rebuilt a piece at a time IF it fails, as far as attys or carts go their gonna wear out no way around that. If you use attys and cartridges you can get 4 or more refills per cart, and cleaning the attys helps them last longer. I still use 801 attys & carts, I get 200ml e-liquid from BestEcig and 50 prefilled carts and then refill them when needed, lasts about 6 months. I refill about 40 carts every two weeks so that keeps plenty ready to go. Also useing a syringe to refill from the bottom up prevents air pockets and completely fills the cart.

I also think the E-Power is a great unit. They cost around 50 to 60 dollars for a complete kit, and like you said you can buy replacement parts if needed. Switch, cone and body. What I like is the battery last a long time (14650 batteries) and you can carry a charged up extra battery in your pocket, so you are never without power. I have units that cost 35 Dollars up to 150 dollars, and I think that the E-Power will be the one I will use every day. I have seen them at AceofVapes, breezesmokes and madvapes.

A Kgo kit for $45 might be a fit for you. When a battery goes in 6 - 8 months or more (?) it's $16 for a new one. For the money I don't think there's a better solution out there. It has more power than the Ego/Rivas and 1100 mAh should last you all day, maybe two. With a LR 306 atty or LR Dual Coil carto it vapes like a mod. Hoosierecigsupply and Breezesmokes sells them. They're out of stock often. I think Hoosier has them now.

The SB is a great choice. You can get them in the classifieds for about $70 - prolly $100 with some batts and charger. Solid, dependable mod. AltSmoke products are awesome. Good luck on your quest! :)

Brent puts a volt meter on an AW 18650 High drain batt with a LR Dual Coil carto in the link below. I have that batt and paid about $20 for it for my SB. Then he put the volt meter on the Kgo with the same carto. The voltage was higher than my 18650. I had to get a volt meter to prove it to myself. Dang. It's true. More voltage from my Kgo than my SB with an 18650. The Kgo looks like just another fat batt. The Egos run at about 3.2v on the high end while the Kgos run at around 3.7 to 4.2. Big difference in vaping experience imo.

Not to muddy the waters, but have you considered the dropoff in performance with your SD might be the batteries' age? You can get fresh ones for it pretty cheap (<$5 ea) If the batts are old, they won't hold a charge well, and that could account for the lack of vapor production as well. Just a thought....

Thanks guys for your quick responses! A lot of interesting suggestions here. So now I would like to ask you to compare on the kgo, e - power, Silver bullet and the box mod (prolly from madvapes) so that you can make my decision easier. Any further suggestions though are also welcomed!! Thanks again for your time and effort!

Not fair to make it easy. LOL I like the 14650 E-power the best for price, and a dang good easy to use mod. If you want to have the most power, look into the 18650 E-power and order a couple of spare 3000 mAh batterys for it. It, the 18650 is larger, 13/16 of a inch across by 4 1/4 inch's tall or 20 mm across by 110 mm's tall.

I initially ordered an E-power for a friend to start vaping and wasn't impressed. The battery life was not very long-3 hours avg. So, I replaced it with a Kgo from Hoosierecigs.com and was blown away. I use a 5v GLV and the Kgo performance was very similar to that. And its cost only being 45.00 is an added plus. My friend loves her Kgo and the battery is lasting her all day. I am thinking about ordering one as a backup to my 5v.
