Thanks for posting about your journey Newme! I didn't want to get anyone's hopes up, especially my own, when I ordered an Ego in December after spending a lot of time reading posts here. I had only quit smoking once with Chantix for about six months and had been a smoker for more than 30 years. It's pretty amazing that I haven't had a cigarette since. Continued success on your journey.

Thanks for coming back and telling us of your success. We all KNEW you could do it....you're the only one who was nervous about your success. Ha. Isn't it amazing? I think these are little miracle machines! Congratulations. How are you doing with your baby girl being out and about? Is that settling in? Skyping alot? Is she sooooo proud of you? Is your husband amazed and thrilled? You need to fill us in......we're nosey. LOL

Hi!!!

ok I just read the thread so looks like I will be the first who did actually detox off analogs. For ME it started about 3 weeks after I was completely analog free. I will tell you what I went through not to scare you so take a deep breath lol, but to arm you with knowledge. No it wasn't fun but I have had the flu that was a lot worse!
*Chills that keep you from warming up at all.
*Hacking up primordial slime from my lungs, probably the worst part of the whole thing.... YUCK!
*Mild depression, more of a lackadaisical, detached feeling.
*The strong feeling something was missing and you can never put your finger on it.
*Headaches at night (for me).
*Serious irritability, my wife would banish me to the bedroom and I would yell at the people on tv.
*The worst foul smell on my breath and from my lungs when I would breath heavy, from your lungs and throat healing I am told.
*Epic, room clearing farts that made the cats eyes water and my wife make me leave.
There is more but it's small and just adds in with everything else. Just focus on the prize, good health and no heartattack waiting for you.
I started out with the V4L 808, which is the same form-factor as your Bloog. Great ecig. Remember to keep Carto's and batteries on hand. The thing with the ecig world is if you have an analog or two while learning all this it's no problem, you are talking to a bunch of ex analoggers! We know. You don't fall off the wagon here... just run next to it for a minute.
Whatever you do keep my sentences above in mnd... keep juices, batteries and carto's on hand. the batteries die, the carto's die and you run out of juice. Don't get caught without what you need. It was my biggest lesson.
Good luck and don't be hard on yourself.

Yeah, I know I was the only one freaking out. hahaha! It is amazing! And yes, they are little miracle machines.

My baby girl....hmmmm, actually I've been so busy that I haven't had time to mourn her leaving. Probably a good thing. She moved a couple of days later than expected because of that huge snow storm. But she got there safe and sound. Yes we are Skyping quite a bit, still not the same, but oh well. Teach them to be independent and dammit they go and do it. lol

Hubby is extatic! Already planning on a MAJOR spring cleaning!!! Also, our son, who lives with us, is no longer allowed to smoke in the house. So I've got him vaping, at least most of the time. He still steps out for an analog once in a while.

Not much else to tell. Learning what juices I do and don't like. Constantly have a battery on a charger. That's about it.

Thanks so much for remembering!!!! Your nosiness is very sweet!

Hi PapaBloog, Things are going good. Still working about what flavors I like. So far, pretty much just menthol. Though I did find a menthol I like-FSUSA Menthol Ultra. I also bought some stuff from V4L. I got a diamond battery, which I love, and a pack of coolcarts, which I really don't care for. From what I've read and experienced, I think the Bloog cartos are the best, and even though there are some problems with them right now, I think I'll stick with them. As far as the batteries go, I like them both equally but for slightly different reasons. So I'll stick with both brands for that. I did order some BWB juices. Unfortunately, I'm not crazy about any of the flavors I got.

And as you may have read, I'm smoke free as of midday Thursday.

Thank you so much for all your help!

I have the Bloog too. Which BWB flavors did you try? And have they gotten any better over time?

I can answer that... yes they do. It is best to let them steep after you get them. They are made to your order and need time to come together. Just give em 7-10 days, shake em up and vape :D.

Thanks. That's why I asked. I had heard that they need to steep for about 10 days for best flavor. Also was curious how BWB was with the Bloog cartos.

It just seems that alot of people over on the Bloog forum have been having problems filling the cartos and I just ordered a bunch from BWB and havent heard anyone comment on their juices yet so thanks for the info.

Right up my alley, my friend. Mind if I chime in? I haven't really posted (or even read much) from the Bloog forum even tho' my namesake might otherwise tell a different story... but, I am an avid user of the Bloog MaxX line and and even more avid fan of BwB juices. Personally, I have had no issue filling, using, filling, using.... bloog cartos, specially with BwB juice. That said, however, there is a bit of a learning curve you need to overcome to get the 'right' amount of juice in your cartos.

There's a good youtube video by Dr. Vapor called "The Care and Feeding of Cartomizers" - I would highly recommend you watch this. There is also a method known as the "condom" method - which, I personally tried, and no longer use. My filling method is kind of a combo top-fill, taryn-spin - let me explain.

Bloog (New Carto): Pop mouthpiece off, tilt carto 45*, apply 10 drops directly to fill. Shake 3-4 times threaded end away to compress the juice to the lower, threaded end. Add 10 more, repeat, then another 10, and repeat (30 drops). At this point, your 'shake' will release a little fluid out of the threaded end. Finally, I'll carefully top off with a few more drops until the top becomes 'slushy'. Replace mouthpiece then vape. You should be good for at least a day (or a half day, depending on how often you vape). Caution: if you notice a 'gurgling' sound when you vape, especially with an auto-battery, remove the carto and blow out the excess through the battery end. Don't want to have the juice leak into your unsealed auto.

Bloog (used cartos): Same as above, but, not as much juice - 20 drops or so should be enough to top off the carto unless you've vaped it dry.

BwB is an excellent choice in juice - however, it is a more 'advanced user' juice - if you don't like it out of the mailer, set it aside for a few days and try again. If your experience goes anything like mine - you'll find you're grabbing for your BwB more than any other juice vendor over time.

Hope this helps, welcome to ECF!
