i put my atomizer in a hot water to clean it, now my e-juice have no taste at all

hi, i found a tutorial on youtube on how to clean an atomizer, but now my e-juices doesn't have a taste at all. i can taste a little but it was not how it was before..

the vapors that were coming out was strong, but the taste is gone. does that mean that my atty is dead?

How long did you allow your atty to dry afterwards? I cleaned mine last night by soaking in warm water for 30 minutes and then let it dry overnight. It worked fine this morning after a few drips.

I have not experienced that myself, although, I found standard 510 attomizers to be only satisfactory. If you have a 510 or eg/riva, get some LR306 attys (only for dripping) along with a 306 drip tip, and some bogge cartomizers if you are looking for something that lasts longer.

I am very impressed with both, and the flavor is way better than any other.

I have also read that some get the best life out of an atty by not cleaning them, but rather doing a dry burn after about a weeks.

Some juices are harder on Attys than others. clear ones seem to be the easiest on them.

I'm a noobie so I'm just guessing. Your flavors should not be changing unless you had a ton of old juice lurking that you washed out, or your Atty is not well primed. If it's still vaping I believe it is still working.

Most likely your atty is still not completely dry.

I only clean my attys with alcohol because they dry in a few minutes. I never use water to soak or clean with.

IMO, it is best to just buy another atty when alcohol wont do the trick..

It is best to replace sometimes rather than fight trying to revive an atty and some attys do best just leaving them along..

thanks beans.. but the flavors.. i can't taste none of the flavors anymore.. i just bought a cappuccino e-juice a while ago and this flavor is amazing.. but i only taste nothing.

Try dropping a couple of drops of juice on the atty, Then give it a try.Also if you have a manual do a few dry burns to see if the atty is getting hot.

yap, the atty is getting hot. i even saw the atty becoming red.. but the taste is off already.. ill buy a new atomizer tomorrow. i can't stand this tasteless vapor. i'm obsess on cleaning all my things everyday.. so yesterday i put this in a hot water and i found it to be working great because the taste yesterday was amazing but now i put it again, then the taste is gone.. damn

It could be your taste buds. They come and go-many members have gone through the I can't taste any of my juices. Use a juice you are not that fond of for a day and see if you can taste your good stuff tomorrow.
It is also known that if you vape the same e-liquid non stop that after a while you become so used to it that you cannot taste it unless you quit vaping it for a few days.

Did you prime the atty well before starting to use it again? Needs to be primed after washing and drying. Otherwise you are burning it dry until it manages to get enough juice from the cart.

Yes, your story is very common. I can't tell you how many times I have read a post that started out like this, "I can't get my atomizer to work right even though I clean it almost every day...". IMO, you should only attempt to clean your atomizer as a last resort. Just blow it out into a paper towel a couple of times a day and if you get a reduction in power you can try a very cautious dry burn.

Most likely your atty is still not completely dry.

Yeah, let it dry for about 24 hours before you try to use it. See if that fixes it.

I think that even among those who recommend regular cleaning they usually say once a week will suffice.

On their site, IkenVape recommends not cleaning atomizers. That may be where you saw it.

My best guess is that the Atty was or is still wet enough with the water that the juice being wicked up is diluted too much. Might want to let it dry overnight.

I blow out my attys at least once a day and give them a soak in 91% Isopropyl Alcohol once a week or so and let them dry overnight. The IA evaporates completely, so it's not going to hurt you and it's a great anti-bacterial.

Did you try a fresh cart? Sometimes my cart stuffing gets gunky and doesn't wick well. I usually ditch the white stuff when that happens and put in blue foam instead. At least when the blue foam needs cleaning it's easy to take it out, rinse under running water and pat totally dry with a paper towel.

Im with cypher on this one probably still has water in diluting the juice. is bet to blow the extra out before drying and priming well.

Blow it good.I put mine under hot water for 10 min..then i blow it hard..works like new
