Congrats! Running is one of the main reasons I've stopped smoking too. I'm 25, slightly asthmatic and have been smoking for 10 years and could only run for a few minutes before I started wheezing badly. It's only been a week and a half since I quit smoking but I'm already amazed at the difference in my stamina and how much better my lungs feel when I'm walking, running or on the exercise bike!

I too found much improvement after I started vaping and really quickly too....I must admit tho that I'm too lazy to go running or walking, but I take the stairs (8 floors at work) down at the moment...I haven't dared going up yet....last time I tried (before vaping) I thought I'd die

Thanks for posting this. Seriously, thank you. It's important.

Someone once asked me why there's so much political outcry against vaping -- I answered "Pfft, they probably just don't want the additional competition at their annual local 10k races".

I've wondered since then that I haven't seen any posts here about things like running, jogging, or long-distance walking. The vaping activists among us should take a close look at stories like yours with your mile run, or WickedSick above with his routine four, and the others responding here.

It's not enough for many people to understand the virtues of vaping from the many of us going to the moon by "only" quitting smoking. Perhaps the ex-smokers who also now run -- who visit Mars -- will convince some of them.
