I really like the idea of building liquids by myself and saving so much money, but no matter which flavoring company I tried (TFA, FA, LA), other than "double chocolate" and "peanut butter" no other liquid feels (flavor and smell) as strong as liquids I get in the store.

All the pre-mixed liquids I have, smells sooooooo strong, the mixed liquid almost smell like the flavoring bottles I got from TFA/FA, but my DIYs smells so mellow (and their flavor is the same, really gentle), I tried increase the flavor gradually from 3% to 20% (until it became "burned" and "metal" taste).

I don't want to mix too many flavors, I really enjoy strong taste of 1 or maybe 2 flavors at once. Most of my liquid are "melon", "peach" and such, I'm not a huge fan on Suicide Bunny and crazy mixtures like that.

I also tried adding Sucralose but it didn't helped much, and I understand from previous posts that it makes more harm than good.

Any suggestions?

have you tried high vg without flavour??

i like a bit of peach now and then and also had a few flavours that could have been better, i bought some EM before i started reading all the bad reports on it so stopped using it but my peach was missing something so decided to use the EM but at a low % and i dont see any loss in flavour one bit, i let it steep naturally without heat treating and my% of peach is 5% so also low

5% peach
50/50pg vg

MTS, EM, Sour&Tart are all added at 1 drop each per>> 10ml or 0.5% of each

my mrs dont like peach, she thinks its boring with not much taste going on.. after a month of steeping she tasted this and she was like wow that isa nice! :p

HAhaha about the EM :p thats what i mean see :D

Most vendors mixes are 70/30 PG/VG

Try adding 3% Distilled Water to your 50/50 PG/VG and see if the flavor gets better.

Are you using EM? If so Leave It Out!

im the same as everyone else, if i use EM at to high a % i cant taste anything but 0.5% doesnt have a negative effect on anything to me :)

Here's what I heard. "All my mixes don't have enough flavor."

If all, or a vast majority of mixes don't have the flavor you're looking for and you've tried many different flavorings at various %'s, that leads me to think it's not related to the flavoring. I'd put money on crappy nic, but it could be crappy VG, and there is an outside chance of crappy PG.

That's what I think when I read posts like this.

Thanks for the suggestion about the PG/VG but 50/50 is really my sweet spot and most of the liquids I purchased online are 50/50 and still have a very strong smell and taste :)

I'm not using EM, and just to be clear I do get the flavor of the fruit/flavoring, but it's just not "IN YOUR FACE" as I get from pre-mixed liquids, if I was looking for a mellow liquid it would be perfect, I'm just looking for the really heavy flavors, and I can't get there even though I tried many flavors from TFA, FA & LA.

The only once that really was strong enough was pumpkin spice, double chocolate and peanut butter (and maybe the chai tea somewhere close to it).

True and I'm finding out just how much flavor is muted with crappy Nicotine

TFA RY4 Double at 10% (Steep for a month) is a Heavy Flavor (yuck). I don't like heavy flavor!

BTW

The above recipe is loved by a lot of members

Many great suggestions here expecially on base and hardware but if your satisfied that what your doing is correct and sure your base and hardware is sound then maybe those flavoring manufacturers are not working for you and maybe you need to try some others. Inawera and hangsen make some good flavoring that many have had great success with. These flavors are a favorate for many of us including myself.

What type of pg/vg and nic do you use? I found out that certain brands/vendors vg can ruin a diy eliquid. I won't trouble you with suggestions unless I know what your currently using. :)

Lately I'm making all my test bottles without nicotine, so I can tweak and try them a lot without getting too much nicotine.
I'm using PG+VG from ecigexpress and 50/50 mix from azure (mostly the first one).

hardware - sigelei 20w w/ igo-w3 (dual coil, ekowool 3mm, 15w-20w) & turtleship clone w/ patriot clone (cotton, 0.7ohm).

Do you think Inawera would have a much stronger smell\flavor compare to TFA\FA fruits?
I found that I'm satisfied with TFA's bakery and drinks strength, but all the fruits I tried was way too weak for me.

Hmm. ecigexpress pg/vg is pretty good. I would say go with a different brand such as Inawera like danny suggested.
Personally, I never cared for TFA flavors.
