I have been told that Tritons use 2mm wick but again, I am not 100% positive about that......

Hey Johnny. I watched the video in your post. Have you met this guy dam718 on the forums? Cuz I want to ask him where he got that threading needle from. People asked him in the comments on youtube, but he didn't provide any answer.

There's an unnecessarily long thread on Ekowool here:

There is such a thing as Ekowool with cotton inside, but results are mixed (as are all the results these guys present...)

Yes, the Triton coils have 2mm wicks. If you got one of those rare tri-wick coils, they cram three 1mm wicks in a coil, and top it with a standard 2mm flavor wick. I see no advantage in this.

I'm interested in trying this, not for the savings, but for the exercise, and to see if this can be done consistently. I like these Halo/Kanger coils, but they all seem to behave a little differently, at times.

Different juices gunk up our coils at different rates. Now that I know how to do dry burns, I have a bit more consistency, but there's still some variations.

There might be enough room to cram a micro coil vertically, in our coil assemblies... Just have to figure out the path of the wick(s). Some kind of solid spacer might be needed.

One more mod: for those that don't care for the hot bits shooting out, it's possible to cram a micro screen in the top of the coil assembly. I have the materials, but I haven't tried it yet. (truth be told, if your coil shoots hot bits, it's time to clean it!)

Another mod advice: for those trying out shrink wrap to replace the peeled battery finish, don't get the cheap stuff with a 3:1 shrink ratio: it scratches easily. Get the better 2:1 kind. I ordered some shrink wrap with textured grip, sold for "fishing poles", but it's still "vapemail"...

I'm going to make one with kanthal, it won't be as good as one made from spring metal, but it will do for me.
