One was an authentic tugboat for 99.99 and the other and FUhattan clone for 34.99.. the FUhattan clone blows the tugboat out of the water as far as hitting harder, it has a lot of weight to it and just feels like such a better made cylinder mod.. i've tried using different batteries on the two.. I'm a fan of the nitecore 18650's and no difference.. The FUhattan blows it out of the water in terms of vapor production and flavor.. I've used a mutation x v4 and the atty squared v3 on both of them.. I guess cheaper doesn't always mean less quality.. I've hit some 100+$ mech mods and this thing hits just as hard as them.. blows plumes of smoke, where as the tugboat, which I know is authentic, barely compares. What gives?

Materials used, most Tugboats I've seen were either aluminum or stainless steel. If your Fuhattan is either copper or brass, with the amount of material it has over the Tugboat, both of those variables would equate to less voltage drop and you are feeling it. You mentioned before you were getting into competition cloud chasing, well, you just found your mod for your cloud comps, that FUhattan. Side by side, just knowing how the Fuhattan is made, going into a comp it would be the first one I would grab.

Yeah the FUhattan is made out of all copper, the conductivity seems to be great seeing as it fires 2-3 times as hard as the tugboat.. Also the switch I use to fire is ALOT better on the FUhattan as opposed to the tugboat.. the tugboats magnet is weak, where as on the FUhattan the magnet is crazy strong.. I literally can't even put it down next to anything metal because it'll draw right to it.. and you can feel how strong the magnet is. I think it's just crazy how they charge you 100$ for a tugboat mod that isn't nearly as strong or as well built as a 40$ clone. I guess sometimes price really doesn't matter, build quality is where it's at.

Yep. Have a Copper Nemesis Clone with upgraded springs and contacts, thickness of the walls is a bout 1/16th inch, and it just barely keeps up with my Authentic Brass Cartel which has 1/8th inch think walls. Still like the Nemesis for out and about, cost me 1/10th the price of the Cartel so if any mishaps its easier to replace o_O

Yeah I've head very good things about the copper nemesis clone, if you don't mind me asking where did you get yours?

the fuhattan is probably copper and you are probably vaping 0.3 ohm or less.
if you have a 0.3 ohm coil and your tugboat has an inherent 0.1 ohm, then you get a 30% loss.
if you have a 0.3 ohm coil and your fuhattan has an inherent 0.03 ohm, then you get only a 10% loss

If you were vaping at 2 ohms there'd be no difference.

In a mechanical every part counts, I have had beautiful mods wth sloppy loose fitting threads. Hit like crap. Anywhere machining isnt tight is a spot with a potential for reduced conductivity and surface area.

As was also mentioned internal resistance of certain materials may rise as you go lower and lower with the coil resistance. I usually drop an extra point for SS mods to counter it a bit.
