Howdy folks, my name is Archie. I'm 36 and have been smoking since I was 17. Smoked a pack a day for the last several years.

A few years ago I tried a few "Blu" disposables, and felt completely ripped off. I thought the Blu starter kit w/ a but load of cartridges would be better so I got that. Again, terrible and a real hassle. That was over two years ago and I just kept on smoking.

A couple of weeks ago a vape shop opened up locally and I decided to stop in. I walked away with an "EVOD" starter kit & I am stoked on the thing! It's only been 6 days w/ no smokes but I've had a fresh pack of American Spirits sitting on the counter the whole time and so far I have ZERO desire to smoke one. First time I've ever not had a nagging after even just a few hours! I'm a major gear head and that'll likely help keep me on this path. I hope so cause I just bought a Zenesis 2 CT 18350! I know it's not necessary but I'm interested in a quality experience. Should be here Saturday!

I'm REALLY looking forward to this as a (satisfying) smoking alternative and a fun hobby! There are at least a dozen folks here who I would like to personally thank for their time and fantastic information. I'm pleased to have the opportunity to get involved!

I too tried Blu and felt the same way, along with several others. You find the one that works and you find yourself satisfied to the point that you don't need those cigarettes at all. Congratulations on the switch.

You know... Honestly there was/is a major stumbling block with the whole "vape" thing. I'm a MAN. A frikkin MAN - MAN. I reeeeally wanted to just. quit. smoking. I didn't/don't want to admit to anyone or myself that I have a major weakness. I thought using a vape would be a major advertisement - much larger than "wearing it on my sleeve" - that I am hopelessly addicted. I didn't want to admit that I could use some help. Surely buying a vape and having to plan ahead, stocking atomizers and juice, would make me take a hard look in the mirror. As of yet the transition has been seamless. Somehow I'm actually even a little proud of myself. So far I'm blown away at how much this Kangertech EVOD system is working. I actually like everything about it.
My first battery would not charge & when I went in to the shop to see what the problem was they discovered that ALL of the silver ones they had were not working (EVOD USB). I was going to get a couple extra batts, atomizers & a backup T3S BCC but I am really drawn in by (at least what seems like) the simplicity of the Zen 2 Carto system. Less to go wrong with the "battery," Made in USA, Stainless steel, Glass & no complex/fragile circuitry.
Especially given my experience with the "Blu" e-cigs, I can't believe that I actually LIKE vaping! The "juice" I have currently is from "vaporamor" out of El Paso, TX. The flavor is "Cowboy" & the dosage is 18mg. I'm currently going through 1.5 - 2 ml. in 24 hrs. I'm goin' interweb huntin' for something hopefully without artificial flavors tonight.

Sounds like vaping is becoming your new hobby. I know it's my favorite hobby....all the different products out there and wanting all of them, it can become expensive.

As for flavors I have so many here at home right now waiting to be vaped. My first e-liquid was a tobacco flavor. When I started with a few other flavors I realized I really enjoyed those more and never went back to tobacco.

This weekend I'll be doing DIY E-liquid....

The one I have right now is supposed to be tobacco flavored. It's more like vanilla ice cream. I do actually like it! I tasted a coffee one locally that they were out of in 18mg & reserved some for when it comes in. Tonight I ordered a 30 ML "High Caliber" "Expresso" 18mg & a 30 ML "High Caliber" "Our 4" 18mg.

I'm certainly open to suggestions for juice brands and/or flavors. I'm hoping to mix my own DIY juice sooner or later!
