I seriously considering

smashing my atty tube down, on the cart end (no cart in place), and bending it into looking like a "metal whiste tip" design....what do you think? bad idea? I enjoy dripping with no cart and I like the atty shorter with no tip on it but I dislike the round tube the way it is...comments?

I do a standard "tail pipe" your idea sounds fine as long as the bridge or wick is not affected

it won't be...I'm thinking drip through the "slot"...you know what! It will get hot! with the end crushed heat will build up around that area and it will get hot! Hotter than it gets now...that why I use a empty tip some times to insulate me from the hot tube....Thank you, you helped me answer my question so far, if I do it, I'll need to insulate my lips from the heat. Maybe mod a tip to slip over the crushed tube???

would be nice if someone can design a tip that opens with a flick to allow for dripping. flick back to close. nice and simple. or any other method for fast dripping.
