I'm using the i-stick 100 mod with either an Aspire Atlantis or Atlantis 2. At odd times, the device seems to randomly go to extremely hot acrid mode. Even if I'm running at 35w, it burns like 100+w.

Is this a malfunction that has been seen on these devices before?

Thank you.

What could be happening is the Mod will randomly read the Ohms Incorrectly.

If you are using a 1.0 Ohm Coil, but the Mod all of a sudden thinks that it is a 3.0 Ohm Coil, then the Mod will Increase the Voltage (rather Dramatically!) to maintain the desired 35 Watts.

Could be the Mod is Wanky. Or it could be something Simple like a Coil Head not being screwed in Fully and Not making a Good Contact. Same with the Atomizer itself not making a Good Contact with the Mod's 510 Pin.

1st thing I would do is give the Mod's 510 Pin a Good Cleaning with a Flatten Q-Tip and some Rubbing Alcohol.

Does your iStick have temp control mode? On a couple of occassions my RX200 has inexplicably changed modes from wattage to temp control mode for an unexpected harsh hot vape experience.

Saw this on the official Eleaf iStick website:

"The New Version iStick serise- iStick TC100W was launched, aslo you can have a try, you can get an unexpect vaping expirence."
