Hi Everyone,

I am closing in on a month of no smoking, yay!

Now, I have some observations and questions.

I started with a an Aspire Atlantis with the Aspire Sub Ohm battery. No one explained that going high nicotine with this setup was the wrong thing to do. Flavor was good, though. I'm running 1.8-2.4% nicotine. I gave the Atlantis away to someone here.

I bought a Kanger AeroTank 2 and shortly after an Aerotank Mega. I'm running 1 ohm coils in both. I have at least 6 weeks worth of juice on hand. I'm still using the Sub Ohm batteries.

The AeroTank 2 works fine, but I want more flavor. As an example, I bought some Mt. Baker Vapor Jamaican Rum juice (with three extra flavor shots) and it has nearly no flavor at all.

The AeroTank Mega (with the same coil) is causing me issues. I keep getting a burned taste, even if I change the coil. I'm not sure why, but it's getting on my nerves. Flavor is better when it works correctly.

I'm wondering if I should buy another Atlantis and some lower nicotine (.6) juice.

Ideas/opinions are most appreciated.

No. Well, my original vaping dealer didn't push me into deep water and I am very grateful. I learned a lot, and now, I understand more and can make better decisions.

Vaping is not taking a stick out of a box of twenty and lighting it. They is a lot more and part of that is safety. I have learned some and I, even more so, respect vaping.

I would take my time and learn about things.

IMHO...

For me I came off cigs and started vaping with a Provari/Protank with 24mgs of nic..
Now 2yrs later I'm vaping the
IPV3/Atlantis with 6mg..I drip with 3mg of nic..As I came off cigs 24mg did the trick but it steadily came down over time...
And the vapor/flavor production is awesome vaping my Atlantis around 30-35w...its great!

I can't be of much help with the aspire and kanger equipment you are using.
I can, however, offer some suggestions on your burnt taste issue.
Try adjusting the airflow control to tighten the draw. This will cause a greater vacuum inside the tank and draw more juice to the wick.
Turn you voltage/wattage down
Repeated hard draws (puffs) will cause burnt hits. Slow easy draws.

My first tank was an Aerotank Mega and I hated it. Burnt taste, always leaking, unsatisfying vapor...it just wasn't for me.

I purchased a Nautilus Mini and loved both the flavor and vapor production I was getting out of it. The only down side was the 2ml capacity. Shortly thereafter, I purchased a Silo tank, which is essentially a better looking full sized Nautilus which larger air holes. Great build quality and because it uses the Nautllus BVC coils, I get the same great flavor and vapor production I get with the Mini, but with a larger juice capacity (5ml, if memory serves).

I then picked up a couple of RDAs for home use but for work, car, etc. I'm very happy with both the Mini and the Silo.

im not sure what kind of juices you are using as most people go by mg/ml, i dont know what % is converted.

one thing though, is you are using the aspire subohm battery, but are not using subohm coils. that could be your problem there, it says its compatible with 0.3-1.0ohm coils, and you are kind of on the high end so probably getting a weaker vape off those 1.0 coils, less flavor.

also you started with the more recently released Aspire Atlantis which is what some would call in the top end chain of clearomizers, the aerotanks are an older design and somewhat a downgrade to the atlantis, especially since the Aspire Atlantis (0.5 coils = subohm) is built for the kind of battery you are using (CF Subohm battery). The newer kangertech clearomizer is the Kanger SubTank, Kanger Subtank Mini, and Kanger Subtank Nano (also built for your type of battery)

Congrats on switching to vaping!! and welcome to ECF!!

I do like Aspire tanks, have had good luck with them. Have used bdc vivi nova type and nautilus, but not atlantis as I don't sub ohm. One thing, many people love MBV juices, I couldn't stand them. Most say they do take quite a bit of steep time to bring out flavor, so that could be part of the problem.

Not sure what to tell you about tanks to try, but one thing you may consider while trying to find your nirvana is to get a juice that will compliment flavors you already have. I use mostly fruity juices, so always keep apple, and sometimes a cream or custard that I can mix with most of my juices. Get a big bottle in say 3 or 6mg that way you can mix it with what you have to get various strengths. 24mg mixed 50/50 with 6mg = 15mg juice

I had to let my MBV juice steep for a few weeks before they had any taste.
