I had been logging all of my vaping expenditures in a spreadsheet to include mods, attys, juice, rebuilding supplies, batteries, chargers... pretty much every vaping related dollar I've spent since quitting smoking in July.

I passed the $2k threshold yesterday and decided I had better not keep track anymore. I don't really want to know.

 I use a spreadsheet also. My savings is climbing faster than my spending. Hubby asked my why I'm still keeping track. I guess 'cause I'm a little OCD.

You didn't say if the $2k threshold was in the black or red? Although the fact that you don't want to keep track anymore....

I would have saved $1400 had I kept smoking cigarettes, lol.

A good bit of those expenditures though have been offset by selling stuff I no longer use. I've also given away a couple of hundred dollars worth of gear and juice to new vapers. And, I quit smoking! So, money well spent I suppose.

I would need two lists if I was to keep track...One for the amount
I did spend and one for the amount I told my wife I spent.

That ain't no lie!!!

It's amazing how many "deals" and "coupons" I find. Lol! My wife thinks I'm the world's best shopper! Lmao

I made it a mission to spend as little as I could. After a year of keeping track, I gave up. Once I hit a 1,000 savings, I figured I was wasting a ton of money keeping track of it.

After the initial 4 months, cost plummeted. Then again I don't have to have what the Jones have and this is nothing more than an alternative to smoking to me. A habit that I would crush a cig .... under my shoe. I could care less what people think of my devices. DIY (Mainly unflavored) and the last device I bought was January... a MVP2.

I figure I can put only one device in my mouth at a time why spend the cash on more other than a backup or two.

I stopped smoking for health reasons Aug 2012. Have likely spent over $4K since, but not keeping close track and Saving was not on my list of reasons to quit.
My wife finally Stopped smoking the first of November this year and is using many of my older equipment to get acclimated. She seems to have made it through the withdrawal period and body adjustment time, so looks like she may make it.

I call that a MILLION DOLLAR win :D
Love my wonderful lady.:)

I just passed the one year mark and my little sig app said that I saved $2008.00 by not smoking cigs.

Now, I haven't kept a spreadsheet, but I don't think I have saved much because of my expenditures for vaping items. It is a hobby to me and I have experienced a lot of "comfort" in my effort to get off of cigs and also to lower my nic level. I don't think that I have exceeded the $2008.00 either.

Is vaping worth it when considering that I probably continued to spend the same amount of money? Yes. Bottom line is yes.

I do try to spend wisely also. Thank-you for letting me read your experiences.
