It was the first week or 2 of April 2011. When I started vaping I never really thought I would quit analogs completely, it just happened in the first 3 weeks of vaping. I failed so many times at quitting I don't think I wanted to set up for another failure. I don't even remember the last cig. I do remember the last few analogs tasted like crap and I liked the vape better.

Agree with all- NOT SMOKING matters plenty. When you stopped, matters less if at all.

I know about when, but not the day- it was late March, I'd just stopped smoking in my study. (It's separate from the rest of the apartment, but the smell travelled a little. Wife was pregnant, and the smell bothered her, which it hadn't before.

I wanted something to get me through so I didn't have to interupt work to go outside and smoke. I had no intention of quitting, but it's a common enough story.

Bought an ecig to be a "dual user," vaping some and smoking some. Had a open pack of cigs in my pocket when I bought the ecig. Smoked maybe two that day, one the next day. Had the 6 or 8 cigs left in the pack in my pocket for a week, had one- yuck.

Gave the rest to a stranger who asked for a cigarette the next week.

Been 8 or 9 months, I think. DOn't know if I'll smoke again. Won't ever be a PAD smoker again.

i used to keep track but now it doesnt seem important to me anymore. ive left cigs behind and they are just a distant memory that i try never to think of anymore.... kinda like when you got drunk and woke up with that girl yould of never even thought about dating...it happens but you leave it behind.

I had my last cigarette on my roommate's birthday last year (Aug 18th). He quit at the same time but only lasted a few months before going back to smoking (not nearly as much and still vaped). Now he only really smokes when he gets drunk and vapes the rest of the time. His g/f (my other roommate) is a smoker and refuses to quit, which is not helping him at all. We've both tried hard to get her to vape instead of smoke but she just won't do it. She did use my old Volcano Magma for a couple of days once but thought it was too much work.

I'm one of those people who keep track of their quit date. I hit 40 days today and was tempted to make a Facebook post comparing it to Jesus fasting for 40 days and 40 nights in the Judean desert. This is when I realized that perhaps I was taking it a bit too far and what's really impressive is when you stop counting and just consider yourself a nonsmoker.

I've really struggled over the last two years to completely quit smoking cigarettes.....I started with a 510 kit and used that for the first 8 months or so....I had completely stopped smoking at work, but still craved cigarettes. I purchased my first 3.7v/5v mod and used that over most of the 2nd year. Due to stress and deaths in my family I found that I still struggled every day but was down to a couple cigs on average. About a month ago I purchased my Provari and found that I can actually do this. I still smoke here and there, but don't crave it like I used to. I can sit in a room with my boyfriend and friends and not smoke when they do. I think that I've broken the "habit" side of the addiction. I don't have a quit date and really don't have a problem with that...no expectations. I decided not to stress myself further trying to quit this time.

Good answer Maureen!!! I was another one of those who got a PV to go with my smoking. I had no intention of quitting smoking myself. Heck I have 5 packages of analogs in my freezer, bet they are really getting nasty about now though, for just in case. /shrug. I've smoked around 30 years myself. Havn't really thought of myself as a non smoker though.

Funny I tend to correct people when they ask me if I"m going out to smoke, I tell them, "Nope, I'm going to out to vape......Or.....Do I SMELL like a cigarrette to you?" So I guess I am a non smoker too LOL. Just hadn't thought about it like that.
