While i dont like cigs either it's too easy to just blame them all the time, i cant imagine why anyone in the past 60 years thought breathing burning leaves all day was a good idea, no matter what the tob companies say/said.

PM is working with the company that invented the ecig, whether we like them or not at lease big tob will fight for our right to vape if they get involved.

I think it could be great. If they put out a crap product, ignore it and they won't sell much, or will be a mass appeal transfer product like the blu. Given the insane R&D facilities they have (Altria is a client of mine) that I have seen, they should be able to make some really cool stuff if they are really interested in doing so. I think it has a lot of potential to make the available technology much better and a great chance for improvement of the juices available.

All big tobacco is looking at ecigs or some variant. They have to. Part of it is because of regulations requiring them to provide harm reduction products. Part of it is because they are in the business to make money and are evolving their companies. Isn't that what companies should do? I just don't get the hating on BT. We all knew what we were doing wasn't a good thing. Heck, the surgeon general warnings have been on the packs since 1964. We all should know that it's not proven 100% safe to vape, either. There could be something in our ejuice that is as bad or worse - only time will tell. We already know that for awhile some juice contained diacetyl in the flavoring. Now shown to be carcinogenic.

They've been working on them for some time in there own R&D rooms for sure, there is one company that's even coming out with an aerosol unit,,,, but they won't be getting one dime from my pocket, I'm backing and supporting the smaller vape shops who have been in this for a long time now, maybe even new ones who come out with good products. Hasn't Big Tonacco killed enough people over the years now ? I want these smaller vape shops and ECF suppliers to make the money these days over Big Tobacco,, and they deserve it for being and staying in the game more than big tobacco who's probably been sitting back waiting on and paying lobbyist to get things put into law to help them, plus I don't trust big tobacco who knows what they will put in there products, just look at half of the poison they use now to make cigarettes

Very good point. I may just have to alter my opinion. :)

To little to late maybe. I don't plan on buying any of their stuff but knowing how they operate they will try to gobble up some of the mfg's. Good news is that they already have a big PR presence and may help out the rest with their lobbyists etc. Personally I would not mind if they went away. These are the same liars that added to the smoking problem. Not to mention the smoking baby stuff in some countries.

OP, when they come out with something similar or better than a Provari (in quality)for under $30. I bet you change your mind. I'm all for getting as many people as possible off cigarettes. The more choices the better as far as I'm concerned. The cream will rise to the top. JMHO

they will put some thing in their juice to addict you as bad as tobacco,,i can beat nicotine, but the other crap is hard.

society is really waking up healthwise, look at all the organic food and drink, health drinks, fitness clubs, to not step out of the dark ages (tobacco) killing untold people by then 10's of 1000's is suicide and they know it, they have been waiting for this for years, im surprised it was invented in china and not by morris or rjr or whatever

When the big tobacco companies get involved, that is when our e-cig world, as we know it, will change. Those big companies will be in it only for the money, nothing else. Everything will be regulated, and most of the small companies we now give our money too will go under, because of all the red tape that they will have to go through just to sell the product on-line. We will be taxed on everything, and prices will skyrocket... I am not looking forward to the day this happens...

I have an issue with BT getting involved in this because its all about the $$. They've had YEARS to get on the gravy train AND save people's lives but instead chose to sit back and let someone else do all the work, now they want to sweep in and collect on that cash cow. Naw I won't support those greedy .......s!!

The ones that don't want ecigs to exist are the big pharmaceutical companies that are losing money from people not buying their crappy smoking cessation failures. And also from all the revenue they're going to lose from people not getting sick from smoking.

BT has a lot more money to spend on advertising and R&D than the small vape shop owners. If the latter ones can ride the wave and survive they'll be in pretty good shape.
